Ran leveling roulette as SCH with my friend who choose their RPR to level. We got Stone Vigil.
Zoned in with 4 players having all around the same max HP (excuse me?), including the tank:

Sire, I'd like to know what's that Crystarium Greaves doing there, and your invisible necklace slot; is THAT improved version of New Emperor Necklace???

Needless to say, the damage they took was quite uncomfortable to deal with. They died to the first 3 pack pull, although everybody else did not die in addition to taking less damage than this tank. For the rest of the run they did what usual 2-4 pack pullers do. With.Those.Abhorrent.Gears. No, they did not die this time. Me and my masochistic spirit choose to babysit this paper tank. Eventually some of the chest they opened drops some nice gear upgrades for them. To them I subtly nudge them to gear up: "Bud, those are good upgrade for tank gears."

Of course, no response. They just went on their merry way. Whatever... near the end of run I examined their search info: they have a lv90 GNB. They're definitely ain't new to tanking. After the boss' dead they spare not even a split second to exit the instance.

Not gonna lie, I feel trolled.

Personally, it is exactly the chaos that I enjoy... to an extent. Anything can happen in Frontline.

I feel like most of what's difficult in P4S phase 1 in the pinax is how the sound effect tricks you lol.
I just hear the lightning and then I look at it and it's like my ears and hands is saying '' it has gone through, RUN '' but my brain is yelling at me internally that it hasn't.
Got through Orbs in the first practice group and I think the pinax is pretty alright I guess.

But there's just something about the sound effects making noise before it has gone through that really messes with my head.

OK, I'll concede it can be fun... sometimes. Usually it's tolerable, most of the fun I have is with friends. I've gotten used to how random/chaotic it can be & I get how that's fun in a lot of ways. What's not fun was that match LMAO essentially they all just camped mid the WHOLE match and just pushed people off the entire time, so everyone else just gave up, capped some points, died by the other team, and wandered around the map till the timer ran up

    So uh.
Tanks/ Healers refusing to wear a mark is now a thing lol?
In P4S people were clearly having issues on the fire pinax ( in secret I'd also like to see that the Healers are actually running to the correct place ).
We kept trying to mark the second Healer but it kept getting removed over and over again and we kept asking why and if we could please mark because it would help.

No answer they didn't say anything the whole time.
Then before the group disbands after a while they have a mental breakdown about how we didn't ask for consent and that they hate marks...

    Uh, okay...
It's like they were camping their own character to remove it asap xD, like they were ready for it they removed it so fast.

Generally speaking, Level 90 GNB does not equal tanking experience. There are bad tanks all around, but those have been some of the worst out there.

That sucks, especially if your own teammate doesn’t have the drive to fight back. I remembered there was one time in FL where one of the team pulled similar shenanigan that we just decided to not take on the middle drone. Instead we just focus on capping and keeping the bases as long as possible. To my surprise, we actually won from that alone. We ended up with a lot battle highs, making us hitting very hard when coordinated well. Then again, it could be because both enemy teams aren’t smart enough. Which is strange because they seem to be coordinating very well to pull off the insta-death pushes/pulls but was unable to pull off the same coop for the bases. Regardless, it was such a wholesome experience.

Oh, I’m aware that lvl’ed jobs does not necessarily equal to being good. Yet it does tells us that said player isn’t new in said role, so they absolutely cannot pull the ”I am new uwu pls carry.”-attitude.

Now that you mention it though, they don’t seem to be a bad tank. Because I remembered they do push their cooldowns, they subtly ‘kite’ the packs to reduce the mobs’ auto attack frequency, and they had never got hit by any red carpets. It’s just their abysmal gear—which in my post, leads me to think I’m being trolled.

    Oh well… /shrug

Had a WAR who didn't use Bloodwhetting at all in Expert Roulette and wanted to single pull. Even then... I barely had to do heal at all since tanks can naturally handle single pulls without a healer, so I was just spamming Dykrasia over and over again until everything died. Bored out of my mind. After 4 single pulls in Smileton, I said "screw it, I'll pull the next one before I die from boredom," so I ran ahead and tagged another mob. I somehow tagged the mob that doesn't pull all the other enemies, so the DNC runs over and also tags the other mobs and drags them over. The RPR was just laughing his ass off going "lmao" when he saw our antics. I figured everyone else was also equally as bored and was trying to get the tank to pull a bit more, except they weren't communicating at all, so we just brought the mobs to them.

All the following big pulls were basically all done by the WAR grabbing the first pack, stopping, and then the DNC who got a pre-pull Eukrasian Diagnosis shield running over to pull the second pack of mobs back to the first one. It was great. Even if there was a bit of aggro that wasn't immediately transferred over, I had more than enough healing abilities to cover for that damage and no one was even close to dying. Gave my commendation to the DNC for making my job less boring.

Man, I needed your team lol. I told everyone that we could potentially win without the objective, but I was shot down real quick. Tbf we weren't very coordinated either and never grouped up, so it made it impossible to even attack the other team anyways. I finally got into a good FL last night though and that was more fun thank god. I think the TT event makes FL a bit of a crapshoot right now.

(/soothe we all go through it)

I'll share a DF from like.. a day ago where I was being the idiot. I was WHM (been leveling for the glam & first healing job, so really new at it), and got Titania. Other healer was a sprout. Forgot I was healer like halfway through the raid and let one of the tanks die before I remembered I was supposed to be healing them in the first place lmao. Ofc I was gently scolded with, "don't forget that the tanks need healing!" The perils of a goldfish memory :scream:

I learn quick but sometimes I make the dumbest mistakes.
In P4S when we got to the towers the first set was no tank + healer and my brain just registered the tank + healer but not the cross so I was like oh the tank and healers need to take towers.
Felt so dumb when we wiped lel.
Second group I practice it with and we got to enrage in P1 at least, P1 overall felt pretty easy surprisingly so it's really just three mechanics if you think of the towers as Bloodrake.

Now I am looking into P2 and nerves are setting in again :P.
I always forget nerves when you reach a new boss or part of a fight like that.
When I entered P4S I was like oh yeah I know that feeling, now I feel rly confident about it then I immediately start thinking of P2 which looks pretty hard and I get nervous again.
