I don't think the trial bosses are too hard.
Whenever a mechanic is first introduced, it's usually introduced by itself so you can see how it works and so getting hit by it will at worst give you a vuln stack and a bit of damage.
The first trial boss is even generous enough to disable controls and zoom the camera out so you can understand how his gimmick works.

If all else fails, a new player also has the option of just following someone who looks like they know what they're doing (or the person with the least vuln stacks).

I have never experienced any of these horror stories people keep talking about in which it takes them multiple groups to get past a single trial.
The only way I can see that happening is if there are several people in the group who refuse to put in any effort to pay attention to what is happening to learn from it -or- there are people trolling to get the group to disband hoping they get something easier in their trial roulette.

Honestly, I don't mind the difficulty and I'm kind of a skittish person. It kind of gives an adrenaline rush if I feel like I'd screw up on something, but it makes things a lot more easy if you bring friends!
Just don't have new players boost and allow them to learn, the new tricky mechanics get re-used a lot after they are introduced too. And anything novel in EW is simply something to get used to and expect in the future, as with any novel mechanic.

I don't know about anyone else, but I feel like a 80+ trial should be harder than a 70+ trial.

When you reach endwalker youre - by far - no more a new player. I dont wanna say get good but ... maybe do some other stuff and get more practice then, learn the design language do get a feel what the devs expect you to do...

For the great final of an 10 year old ark im actually very dissapointed as steps of fate, nidhogg, shinryu, tsukoyomi etc were a way bigger wall for some players and felt just right...

Well, I have to admit that I am stuck at the MSQ duel with a certain entity of light. Just a friendly duel...ya right.
I don't whine about it, I just do other stuff. It is what it is. I don't need everything if the game demands I do things I don't enjoy.
I spoke with some "veterans" of the game and even they said it was a brutal encounter that tested their abilities to the limit. As I am a casual player it is highly unlikely I will reach that level of skill. My game now consists of hanging out with friends in town and making music. I don't feel a compulsion to finish anything if it stops being fun.
The best way of handling it is to do what you enjoy. If it's too difficult, forget it. Do something else. Try to have fun instead.

Wait, since when was HW crafting difficult? There was the issue where DoH jobs had different names for the same ability but how was doing math and praying to rng hard?

Honestly, unless you did a story and level skip; by the time you hit Endwalker, you're not a new player anymore.

By this point in the game you should know how this games bosses work. Sure, you might see a new mechanic or two, but that shouldn't be too stressful anymore.

And if you wipe, do it again.

And if you did do a story and level skip all the way to Endwalker; then that's on you.

The biggest issue new players have is what you see on the screen and whats actually happening in a fight never actually line up..

So you see an aoe on the ground you step out of it, Another drops but the ground from the last aoe is on fire so logically you can't stand there... but actually you can because the damage was calculated 3 seconds ago befroe the animation even started. but players who arent used to this see the fire on the ground and think they have no where to go and then die. because for some reason standing in the stupid is the safest thing to do...

This also makes it difficult for players to understand mechanics because something will kill them and often they cant see what it was.
because it was a mechanic they dodged 2 or 3 seconds ago and now they're standing somewhere that looks safe and bam... what the hell just happened??
if the animations matched the damage it'd be easier for players to see what they did wrong..

I will admit some of the more recent encounters are getting harder, Not by difficulty but simply by bosses being so big and the growing trend for visual cues for mechanincs being either way outside of the arena or above the giant bosses head. The camera just doesnt doesnt pan out far enough to get a decent view.. The mechanincs themselves are often super simple but seeing the cues for them when theyre way off screen outside the arena is what makes them a ball ache.

Wheres the setting to pull the camera back further so you can actually see stuff.... or the setting to make the animations right...

Let's stop nerfing bosses for their difficulty and encourage teaching new players how to deal with mechanics. And I'm also sure there is a fair share of people that asks for easier trials because they don't want to deal with first timers messing up mechanics, nor teach them about the fight.

As a matter of fact, let's just do the opposite of OP's proporsal and start reversing nerfs to previous trials (remember when people actually had to do mechanics at 4-man Garuda? I do).

I'm going to assume you either run with premades, you've been blessed in PUGs, or you aren't running the content when it's close to being first released. When I was trying to clear Shinryu, Titania, and Zodiark groups abandoned after multiple wipes and I had to start all over again with the next group. It's something that always happens when people are learning and new. It's very easy for the run to tank in Zodiark if one of the healers falters, since with the gear available at that point, a solo healer often struggles and can't keep up, especially if others are struggling. With Titania it's usually the dps check in the middle. And Shinryu only started getting better as people cleared and could access the tome gear locked behind it so we could go back and help others through with our upgraded gear because the damage going out was very hard to keep up on.

It's also not the reasons you give. I see plenty of people trying who are just having trouble getting something down. Just because someone doesn't master it when they first see it doesn't mean they aren't trying. It takes people a few times sometimes. And unfortunately there are plenty of people in DF who aren't willing to give those people that time and bail or cause the run to be abandoned. Someone asked in a previous comment why people were afraid of failing. It's often not the person trying to get through who's afraid of failing. It's the others the game forces them to run the content with who don't want to fail or waste time because they're doing their daily roulettes and Twelve forbid anything slows that down.
