The MSQ Endwalker Trial Bosses are WAY too hard for newer players to FFXIV

I just don’t understand. Back when crafting was a pain in the butt in Heavensward, we all were supporting it to be nerfed and more accessible. But for Endwalker MSQ, it shouldn’t be nerfed and should stay the same? Hydalyn and Endsinger sure. But Zodiark? I remember going through 4 or 5 whole parties just to clear it. That is absurd..and seeing my friends go through that just really didn’t sit well with me.

For anyone joining the game around 2021 onwards: Welcome to the new expansion experience. As with any new content, people don't know it perfectly and it is expected there will be hiccups. This is the same thing that happened for ALMOST every single trial when it was "new". Titania was similar, and now it's not difficult because the majority knows what to do.

Also keep in mind the majority of people doing the content are doing it at around the minimum iLVL to do it, as they are leveling alts/doing the MSQ. We're not at a point in the expansion where everyone is being sync'd down and essentially overpowered for the fight.

If you can't clear it due to visual issues, there are settings to reduce visuals until you know the mechanics better. If you refuse to take advantage of those options because "MAH IMERSHUN!!" that's a you issue.

I just wipe them intentionally until I get the full Echo buff, then work in getting them done.

I don't see how that's any better than just trying your best in the first place and at least learning the first bit of the fight. You might even make it through.

Usually the sticking point is a gimmick rather than HP, anyway.

It's because content gets nerfed, directly or indirectly, all the time that people have a hard time clearing casual content in the first place. No need for players to hone their awareness if their punishment for lacking awareness is a tickle.

I personally think the difficulty is okay but I think this is something that can and should be adjusted. I feel there should be a Gambit system for our Trust NPCs and I should be able to change who they focus on and at what percentage they start healing.

We had this in FFXII in which other games like Dragon Quest Orgins used this same system.

Let us users program our NPCs or adjust them

Are your friends having trouble? just do it with a trust, no need to wipe other people. Just follow Y'shtola

What's the issue in failing ? Why do you want to win from the get go ? It's not even hard really, these kind of remind me of story bosses from older games, easy once you know their tricks.

No more dumbing down and instant gratification please.

If you have reached level 83, 89, or 90 you are far from a new player to the game.

Let me start off by saying the trials are easy for me, because I’m used to harder fights like those, but my friends who are new to the game, couldnt for the life of them understand what to do when doing the Zodiark trial. There’s honestly no need to make MSQ trial bosses that hard.

I just think it’s a bit extreme.
