    They need a naginata and bow aswell. Those were their main weapons. And they were masters of multiple weapons

    The Samurai in FFXIV is more of a Ronin I think, '' Samurai '' is just the best and easiest way to describe them and their fighting style.
    So it kinda makes sense that their main weapon is a Katana and why their artifact gear isn't Samurai armor.
