A bit like the final section of the Dead Ends dungeon. :`)I honestly still believe we don't need more content but sustainable and repeatable content... When we're done with farming a tier its just waiting for the next tier and that can feel like a long time sometimes... and when xiv stops development there's not gonna be anything save from rp for this game to be attached to.
When the game's story becomes self-aware:
We are at a point now that Yoshi's and his team have to deliver in very different ways than before . They cannot continue the same and limited designs the game has been hamstrung by for the last decade . The recent showings of visual upgrades tells me they are working on an engine revamp and its very much needed , as is a very significant engine upgrade to its multitudes of api's that will handle physics , audio , lighting , CPU core capabilities and more, so that they can make everything shiny plus tell future stories in new ways ( designs, map sizes , new fight visuals)So youre fine with them just catering to the opposite side? Weird stance to take i suppose. Personally i think with them breaking record sales we should be seeing a plethora of improvements. At the very least i dont think we should be missing out on gear sets(level 89 dungeon) or still getting reused gear that isnt even dyable (level 87 dungeon)
With better CPU and memory capabilities the PC and now the SeriesX/PS5 capable of we have to see not just new encounter designs but perhaps more fleshed out mini games and unique side mission encounters= designs that are much more than just walk to purple circle , maybe more minion battle as system updates to rival WoW Pet battle game , and much needed proper daily areas that have their own maps like WoW has had for years ( i loved the sunwell daily series) and are much more in depth than the beast tribe garbage we have had since ARR.
They have much to change , and dont worry , a lot of veterans will be more in your camp if they fail to deliver and many other studios will be happy to take customers away from them with something newly developed and released, should FF14 begin to decline rapidly if they over promise and under deliver on a regular basis from the next expansion and onwards.
The game is showing its age , and there are plenty of other games to enjoy , not all of us are blind fanatics.
I have a blinding headache coming on so apologies if I made any typing goofs , I must go and rest
Why? Lost Ark is a game made for whales.
They don't need to. Since they aren't releasing much content at all and I'm being fair.
honestly i dont see ur point here because raid and dungeon content gets released fairly reguraly maybe if u have been playing the game for a long time it all starts looking the same which is the problem i had playing wow after 15 years so maybe if u get to that point broaden ur horizon and try playing different games ? i dont think square caters to either side but tries to sattisfy as broad a public as they feasibly can its not like they can just wave a magical stick and content appears out of thin air there is time and effort going into patches/expansions and honestly i can see and feel it all troughout the gameSo youre fine with them just catering to the opposite side? I think the argument is that we used to get multiple dungeons, trials, etc. per major patch. They've slowly whittled that down to the point we get far less, despite the game being more popular and making more money than ever.honestly i dont see ur point here because raid and dungeon content gets released fairly reguraly maybe if u have been playing the game for a long time it all starts looking the same which is the problem i had playing wow after 15 years so maybe if u get to that point broaden ur horizon and try playing different games ? i dont think square caters to either side but tries to sattisfy as broad a public as they feasibly can its not like they can just wave a magical stick and content appears out of thin air there is time and effort going into patches/expansions and honestly i can see and feel it all troughout the game
This might actually change for the better since the executives at SE seem to have finally realized FFXIV is basically keeping the entire company afloat at this point. It shouldn't be a surprise, but apparently it was to them.
I guess the thing that gets me about the OP is WHY do they think they have to do everything the second it comes out? Will they fall behind everyone else if they don't? That doesn't sound like a very good design to me and is definitely something I wouldn't want to see SE start doing.
A lot of content you do have to do immediately otherwise SE unlocks it, adds echo a frankly spoils the whole experience to cater to people who are incapable of clearing itI guess the thing that gets me about the OP is WHY do they think they have to do everything the second it comes out?
