That is why they should be optional like savage and extreme are. The story versions should still be easy.

Since they're creating a trust option for MSQ content they can even create an ultra-easy/visual novel mode for that, so that the DF version isn't so constrained by having to cater for all and sundry.

Non-troll people have made posts criticizing specific aspects and they still get written off as just mass complaining or being trolls though. This community can’t handle criticism that’s just a fact. And when people make valid points and criticism people just deflect with “just unsub lul.” It’s such a childish mentality.

I find much wrong with the game , mostly niggles small things like why doesnt the CNJ squadron member have regen , which would make them far less useless, yet they still have and use old far removed mana resource ability's when they dont have a mana pool in the first place , as one example.


But i wont defend the game to the death despite my many grievances , im not a fanatic . Im an enthusiast as are many users here and those that never come here . The forum doesn't represent the community at large and its naive to think so

I wasn’t even mentioning just the forum. It’s actually far worse along the lines of Twitter and Reddit, which are two places the devs have confirmed they look to for feedback lol. Any form of criticism in those places gets shut down immediately.

LMAO true. And keep in mind that following me around and trying to derail my legitimate complaints (whether you like my tone or not) is a bannable offense. People have been banned before for posting irrelevant nonsense in my threads before! (Plural! I don't know how many people got permabanned for this!) It really just depends on whether people feel like reporting them or not!

A quick way to get banned is to spam "Titanmen troll thread" again and again and intentionally derail the thread by posting stuff about pancakes and whatnot. Well, have you seen the guy who did that a week ago on the forums lately?

The problem with Pharos was that it was easy for people to break the eggs and the dmg buff the bird got was ramped up far too quickly for anyone to realise ( on the first try) what was going on . PS was a great dungeon and im gutted that the players at large complained on an optional dungeon being "hard" to the point they didnt make all post MSQ optional dungeons harder/trickier than the regular MSQ content after that.

As far as harder dungeons go, that was a thing in ARR and then people mass complained about it and now they're dumbed down. Pharos Sirius is a classic example of one that was referenced.

The thing is ppl didn't mass complain. A handful of players were very loud and very vocal about it, so much so that SE just starting nerfing everything thinking it was popular opinion, because at that point if XIV failed, the company was toast and they were doing as much as they could to appease their audience. So, players could come in, be handed everything for barely any effort and the precedent was made and then the newer players started expecting it too and it just snowballed from there. Now it's to the point that if you suggest something be added that has even a remote amount of difficulty they come in hordes to the forums to complain, making SE dumb things down yet again, rinse and repeat.

You don't need numbers, you just need to be able to whine the loudest.

Again an online world in which fanatics get an endless soapbox to hollar from . Twitter is far removed from reality especially when it comes to opinions of the general populous . I find it hard to believe they look for feedback on twitter . Its a market tool for business , and certainly not a source of useful customer data at all.

How could you possibly know when a SqE bans a user because of response in one of your threads? Do you have a friend or family relation working in the customer support at SqE ?

I think it's the fact Skiros things he's some high and mighty savior bringing copious amounts of truth...the game has issues but my god is some of these posts not them.

Typically an easy way to tell when someone gets banned is all the their posts from said thread are removed. It’s not always but it’s fairly easy to spot. In regards to the criticism while it isn’t everyone, it’s such a large portion of the playerbase at least in my experience there’s literally nowhere to go and give criticism. Even something as simple as me mentioning how there’s less music in the new raid tier, literally not even 2 mins of me making the thread someone goes and starts claiming i don’t care about Soken’s cancer. People use things like this all the time to deflect criticism, whether it’s Soken’s cancer, the pandemic, etc etc.
