Typical instanced housing in most other MMOs has exterior and interior customization options. There's no garden access for apartments either. I've got no issues with improving upon the apartment system we have, but to call it true instanced housing is asinine.

The vast majority of the player base very likely doesn't care about housing, as the vast majority are the casual players who renew their subscriptions when new patches happen, hang around a week or two, and then do other things until next patch. Keep in mind players that post on forums, or in sub reddits are almost always the minority of a community.

As you point to apartments as what you're already looking for...they already exist? Get an apartment? Otherwise, I'm not really sure what is being asked for here.

First of the unhappiness with the state of housing is not limited to reddit and the official forum. In any form of ingame chat you will mostly get the same reactions. The only positive reactions come from players that already have a house. If someone is indifferent to housing altogether because they don't care about that content then their opinion, or rather indifference, doesn't matter when suggestions and requests are being made. What matters are the opinions of those that care about the content and from those players the vast majority is indeed very unhappy.
Secondly, you completely ignored the part where I wrote that it's not properly fleshed out. No chocobo stable, no proper garden plots, no garden/ balcony, limited interior costumization. It's just one fairly small room, fixed size, fixed layout. Item limit is now more appropriate for the size, they thankfully changed that. The rest of the problems are still the same.
At this point it looks like you're just disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing. I have yet to see a good argument from you on why instanced housing should not be expanded, be it by giving apartments some much needed love or adding seperate wards with instanced houses.

It's been asked for like a billion times, it's not gonna happen. Island sanctuary or instanced housing at this point is just copium, it's very clear that they want to keep the current housing system no matter how unobtainable it is for many people.

They have made many changes based on feedback and I believe they will continue to do so based on feedback. Thanks for your input but it's just not helpful.

She's not saying no for the sake of saying no. She is saying no because she is being realistic, and is indeed trying to help you. She is trying to help you by purging you of false hope in order to direct it at something a little more pragmatic.

If you watched the Q&A during the most recent LL, you will undoubtedly have seen Yoshi's reaction to releasing a residential district in Sharlyan. He didn't even need it translated. What do you think his thoughts would be on implementing an entirely new housing system that would immediately supersede the current residential system based on that reaction? Don't fool yourself into thinking current housing won't be affected. It most certainly will.

Feedback doesn't ensure change, and in terms of instanced housing there are going to be a lot of players against it as it would eat up a ton of resources that can be used towards playable content instead of giving players their own zone to AFK in.
