Signed. It'd also be nice if the male characters didn't look so utterly flatpack-ish, in the way Overwatch managed to avoid. For now I'm happy we're going to see graphics upgrades, but for the longer term, I'd like to see this happen too. Also hope we see the ability to modify muscle tone on more races, rather than just limited to roes and hyur.

When the game's story becomes self-aware:
graphic update in several steps starting with 7.0 and femhroth the last new race/gender. (probably also 7.0) then they said something about several updates about glamour beyond 6.1.
more options in character creation kinda goes in a similar direction. its all about the looks. but because all these things are first i wouldnt hope for it before 8.0. it would make sense to first finish the races before giving more options to all if them.... IF they ever gonna do it

Would be nice to see new Au Ra horn styles and new Hrothgar faces (and hairs).
I think they are slammed with work at the moment. This is the 35th anniversary for Squeenix so they have their staff divided on a lot of projects. I think we will see an update to the character creator but only once they are done with updating the player characters (graphics overhaul) at the very least. Maybe in 2 1/2 - 3 years.
You can take my princess run from my cold, dead hands. It separates the strong from the cat girls.
The way the game works, races that don’t get a tail/ear slider get muscle tone slider instead. This update won’t affect character creator so the only hope of other races getting muscle sliders is if their ear and tail sliders were removed and everyone of those races had a default setting. They said way back that due to how character data is loaded onto the server, adding extra features to character creator would mean cutting the amount of characters you can view on the screen.
I rly fail to see the issue with the Midlander run, if you don't like it you can play Highlander.
It's not like this is the only run in the game, why shouldn't people who like it also have an option?
Should the Highlander run be changed because people who like the Midlander one might dislike it and prefer the Midlander one?
I just dunno why people who dislike it supposedly have a '' more important opinion '' than those who like what it already is.
And also untie the horns to the face structure.

This was actually broken down and explained really well. It completely makes sense now.But sliders are impossible without effectively re-doing the entire gear system of the game itself, which in turn would require an engine overhaul. Which at that point, they'd just more likely to spend that time making the next FF MMO.
Characters in FF14 are effectively legos - there is no 'body' beneath your gear that your items warp around, the gear is your body. Like replacing a leg arm with a different lego arm, equipping a new piece of gear completely replaces that entire section of your character. This also means any visible skin on gear is built into the 3D model itself.
This means that butt sliders (and currently breast sliders) are useless, as they would only effect your smallclothes/emperor's gear and nothing else. Since every other piece of gear in the game overrides your slider choice with the model itself. This is why armor makes you effectively flat at 100%, and why Minfillia's gear gives you a great chest even at 0% on the slider: it's the actual model overriding it. You can even see this for the butt side of things with the 2B pants: They are intentionally sculpted to have a bigger butt, thus it only appears when you equip them.
For a butt slider to actually 'work' in FF14, they'd effectively have to create multiple copies of the same leg gear at different sculpts for each of the different races, then assign each once you hit a certain % on the slider. Which when you consider how long it takes them to do any retroactive gear update in FF14 (headpieces for Hroth/Viera, unlocking gender lock stuff, etc) is effectively impossible. This also ignores the other issue of having to make several new sculpts of body gear as well, since bigger butts would invariably clip through skirts/tops that are assuming the butt is at default size.
TL DR: Butt sliders are impossible with how their 3D model engine is set up. You'll have to turn to the dark forces of 3rd party if you want something like that.![]()
