    List of Concerns Regarding LL Housing News

    • Entries are locked to one per player. Is this one per ACCOUNT? Or one per CHARACTER? If it is one per character, this may raise issues with people inflating their FC numbers with their own alts. This also will be a continuation of what players are doing to abuse our current system. This will only continue current problems. Consider either putting a timer on how many entries you can enter in a time period. Consider making it one entry per account.
    • In regards to FC restrictions being limited to newer members, a solid timeframe hasn't been given for how long a player is considered "new". Please consider making this timeframe something considerably long like a couple weeks to even a month. While this will unfortunately ruin the player to player resale market, I do believe that if people are truly dedicated to a transaction they will stick through with it. The good in this that it will demolish bad faith players attempting to flip FCs purely for profit. It will significantly cut into RMT and botting activity with housing, since majority of these bad faith players seem to be doing it for the profit (from what I have noticed, at least).
    • While I do think some wards should be open to FCFS, please at least explain how the "hidden timer" behind plots works before bringing the FCFS system back. You are currently having players sit at placards for hours on end only for plots to consistently sell at the 10-14hr mark. From what I can gather, this probably partly why the lottery system was implemented. Majority, if not all, of the knowledge about the hidden timer is [community sourced]. Players shouldn't need to join a Discord server in order to understand how to engage with your content on a healthy level.
    • I absolutely appreciate the work all the devs do for us housing fans. In response to the Q&A question asking for new areas, please don't do that. Focus on what we have currently. Make that better. Insert something here about having a stable foundation before expanding outwards. That sort of thing.
    • As respectfully as I can say it, it's disappointing that the purchase guide is as vague as it is. It's disappointing that I have spent years educating people on things that should have been outlined on the main page in the first place. It's current vagueness literally leads towards people getting injuries IRL due to how long they're attempting for a house. Fix this if you plan on continuing our current FCFS system. If you want people to camp that long, please just at least say outright "plots will come up for purchase at a random time between (x) and (y)."
    • I made a thread about this a few months ago, but apartments on my server (Balmung) are completely full. Apartments on Mateus are also reaching this level. While Empyreum will open up a lot of apartments for us, please consider a way to prevent this kind of thing from happening in the future. Potentially adding new wings to apartment buildings when they reach capacity? Making apartments have a demo timer of (x) years? etc.
    • EDIT: Additionally I'd like to add. Make it so that if your character is an active leader of a free company (or simply just a member or a free company), said character can not be deleted.

    I'll reiterate my own questions here to go with lothera's.

    1. How long is a newly added FC member considered 'new'? To make it an effective deterrent to FC stacking tactics, it should be at least 30 days.
    2. Please clarify if it's one ticket per service account or one ticket per character.
    2. How long does one need to be part of an FC to become eligible to have FC Master passed over to them? (While this was not brought up at the recent live letter, it has been mentioned before, yet nothing more has been said about it.) I'd suggest this also be a 30 day period, though if it were me I'd make it 45 days.
    3. How will this system deter people who purchase multiple FC houses through third parties? (Say, you are already FC master of 2 FCs with houses. You join a third for the purpose of being made FC master of that one, too.) Yes I know it says it'll be more difficult. But that's vague. How will it be more difficult? What are the mechanics of this new system and how will it affect how players purchase and trade housing?
    4. Will this be documented and updated as changes are made? (Current documentation on this is a) difficult to find and b) woefully out of date.) How will housing rules be enforced (current as far as anyone can tell, they aren't).

    Perhaps another idea is to have a housing community manager of some sort to monitor the housing situation. While I appreciate all the hard work the devs put into this, I feel sometimes that they really have no idea what's happening on the ground level.

    They need to post all the new housing rules in a letter to the community and the sooner the better so people know how to prepare and what is expected of buyers. 6.1 is approaching and this needs to happen soon.

    I actually want them to keep it until 6.1 so bigger FC or house trader can’t prepare what is coming. This gives better advantage to normal players

    We already know what's expected of us and what we can do to prepare.

    Decide if your single entry will be used for a personal house or your FC.

    Decide which plot you want to attempt to win.

    Have the gil for the purchase price ready.

    Once the patch drops log in at a convenient time, go to the plot in an appropriate ward type (check for the FC or individual designation) and purchase your entry at the placard.

    Wait for the drawing to see if you win.

    Any more detailed information at this point only serves the exploiters looking for additional loopholes to exploit so they can make their preparations.

    Certainly they already have their shell FCs set up and ready to go.

    But you never know what little details might inspire new exploits of unintended loopholes. Players out to cheat systems can get very creative as they get more information.

    I'm sure that's information that will be shared either via live letter or detailed Lodestone topic (and probably both) prior to 6.1's release.

    My personal guess is that the lottery period will end up tied to weekly reset. They'll want to give those players who can't log in daily a reasonable chance to get a house. I won't say that I personally would like it to be that long but it definitely would be more fair than a period of just 1-2 days.

    I can understand and see your point, but one week is a long time to wait. If say, you are correct and it is a weekly reset, then not only me, but a lot of other people would be looking around for property that doesn’t have a lot of people sign up for the raffle. Assuming SE makes the number known.

    Which brings up another question, would you prefer to know how many signed up for that house or you didn’t want to know? I have a feeling there are so many possibilities that we won’t know the answers too, until it is to late.
