Emphasise being "some". All of us, on the other hand, now only have one shot. Which is objectively worse than a free-for-all system where we can bounce around to runner up plots. I'll move my edited response to Missbone below:

With new wards, you weren't waiting 24hs. They were instantly purchase-able the moments servers went live. This isn't about thinking I or anyone else is better but pointing out the folly of how a lottery system with only one ticket has actually reduced all of our likelihood at getting a house. Maybe you can't log in as fast I could but if 2,000 houses release, you just need to be ahead of that queue to have just as equal a chance. Maybe your preferred plot isn't up anymore since you logged in at 1,100 but look over there, another plot is free and nobody is near it. Your runner up plot is yours now.

With the new lottery system, what I just described isn't possible. Instead, you put in your one ticket, cross your fingers and should you lose... wait for years just for the "privilege" of repeating the process all over again.

Edit: Just to put things into perspective. If 200 people all apply for your desired house. Your odds of winning are 0.5% Going further, if you were to compete in 100 lottery attempts your odds of finally getting a plot would still only be 39%. It takes 100 attempts to not even have half the probable odds to actually succeed at winning a house. That's how ridiculously improbable this system is.

Even if just 50 people apply to the small you want. That's 2%.

For reference sake all these odds are worse than EX mount farms, Savage PF loot drops and even the minion from Dead Seas that everyone complains doesn't exist all have better odds of you winning than of you getting a house with just 50 people competing.
