I'd like to see some FCFS wards. Half would be nice but even 1/4 would be good. Just for the initial 6.1 release then having them switched over to entire lottery wouldn't be terrible. There's something special about the mad rush for housing right on patch drop and it would give people a opportunity beyond 100% luck to gain a plot they seek.

Hope it's lottery only. Allowing some to be fcfs for the new area is just asking house flippers to buy them up with a fc and sell the fc for really high prices..

I still laugh at people screeching about the lottery system in housing. Of course instance housing would be amazing but for some design/technical reason SE won't do this. This only leaves Placard EX or a free for all where if you miss the servers opening then you are out of luck. To all the people pushing against this why not put your effort into something that will help the game, like bringing HW style class balance back. Do you really want to die on the hill that is placard camping?

Did you get the note, that every player of an FC can participate in the lottery if he have the gil and the permission to buy a Plot for the FC? Time to Level Alts for better chances it is

As has been mentioned by previous posters, this is the only way to ensure everyone who would like a house is given a fair shot at it instead of disadvantaging those who are unable to login immediately at 6.1 release due to real life obligations.

Any reduction in the availability of housing plots due to FCFS wards would equate to a loss in opportunity for such players and I would not support FCFS vehemently.

The demand for housing outstrips the amount of wards and plots available in the game,. Unless they just keep adding wards on demand or make all housing instanced, this situation never really improves. I will, however, take a lottery system over a first come, first server camping system. I'd rather just log in, find out I've lost after entering a raffle than spending hours waiting for the plot to drop (which I've done several times and lost all of them). I dislike that the FC lotteries can have multiple entries when it should one entry per FC regardless of your size, having more members doesn't entitle you to a house over a smaller FC.

The launch of new housing wards was always going to be messy but these new mechanics are much better quality of life for when plots become available over the months and years ahead as players come and go. I appreciate that a bunch of players have waited years for Ishgard housing and have found ways to more effectively work the existing system but that doesn't mean you're entitled to a house or your preferred acquisition system for getting one.

Even if the houses had a random timer starting with the servers opening i'd rather have a lotto, now and forever over the FCFS we have right now. An auction starting at a set time would be better imo.

I’m all for full lottery upon release. It makes it completely fair for everyone to have a chance to put their bid in for a house of their choice. Yeah you might not win but that’s how lottery goes. It’s chance. This is fair all the way around. No FCFS wards please. Not even 1-2. All lottery. Thank you.
