In what way does this make me wrong? The presence of a crystal does not in any way imply Zodiark is using it for sustenance. In fact, everything we've seen over the last two expansions pertaining to Zodiark indicates the exact opposite.actually your mistaken there if you look down during the zodiark trial you will see the father crystal :P so even that is kinda mirrored though i didn't really get the impression that the Hydalyne or Zodiark actually use their giga crystals Hydalyne by her own words was saving it up for the journey and was pretty much on her death bed and life support by the time we met her even if she consumed ambient aether its no where near enough to keep her alive shes been losing power to the point where she can't even skype call anymore by stormblood
Didn't we already choose? Since representatives of all the Beast Tribes were there to help summon primals for fuel to power the Ragnorak, they're not gonna just forget that knowledge after they go back home.
If Creation magic requires no energy upkeep, then the Ea were wrong. It's a violation of the first law of thaumodynamics.
The representatives were from 1 tribe each. Beastmen tribes are not unified. And those Little Alamhigho kids knew the bad method. And the followers of iceheart.
Actually if you bothered to grind out beast tribe rep did the beastmen in the cutscenes change to them? Or did you still help enemy tribes before friendly ones?
Nope.
The only tribe representatives from the dailies to appear in general are the sylph and the Vath storyteller, which I find strange.
the way you phrased it made it seemed like you believed zodiark functioned differently then hydalyne but they both have a giant aether crystal
"Stop right there, criminal scum! Nobody breaks the terms of service on my watch! I'm reporting your illegal mods, now enjoy your time in gm jail."
The new life they wanted to swap for their loved ones were plants and animals. How many cows would you sack to get your mom out of purgatory? I'd kill so many cows you could call me Burger King.Rather than continue picking over the fine points of why people experience discomfort and moral dissonance with the Venat/Ancient narrative for another 2 months, I've decided it'd be easier to just allow myself to be radicalized against the themes of the story. It was actually fine for the Amaurotines to sacrifice millions of catgirls to save their people. Life invariably exploits life, and only betraying your own species is morally debased. The Ancients had no responsibility to the wider universe or any other form of life. Emet-Selch did nothing wrong.
This is not a serious post. Don't quote me.
The cat girls evolved from the the Ancients who were so mutilated by Venat's actions they filled in the gaps in their genetic code with animal traits.
There is no evidence that the Ancients intended to sacrifice intelligent life. The only known intelligent life were the Ancients and the new races that evolved from their mutilated corpses. If there was another intelligent race, they were wiped out completely in the sundering never to be heard of or mentioned. The reason people assume that the third sacrifice must be an intelligent race is because they don't want to imagine Venat murdered her entire species to save cows, which good news, she didn't.
She murdered them because they weren't down with leaving their loved ones in purgatory with no explanation as to why and she viewed that as weakness. So she decided to kill them and used their parts to fashion what she deemed a superior race.

It's always irked me that we never found out what happened to the so-called 'FatherCrystal'. I know it was beneath the platform during The Dark Inside but I don't recall anything being said about what happened to it following that.
It's probably still there. We only needed to kill the primal. The mother crystal and father crystals were red herrings, we always assumed they were the actual gods because of the ARR cutscenes, but they were just regular giant crystal formations this whole time.
