This is 100% a troll attempt. But whatever you do, do not bring an unfortunate disease to a discussion that has nothing to do with it. You heard it? how the game cannot be bad because the composer was ill? yeah of course you did, in your own head, made up by your own thoughts.

She received a standing ovation for her continued work in FFXIV & is beloved by the fan base & is the recipient of many accolades to include garnering awards for FFXIV being one of the most celebrated MMORPG's directly due to the writing of it's MSQ.


Masayoshi Soken video game composer and sound editor who has worked for Square Enix since 2001. Soken is best known for being the lead composer and sound director of Final Fantasy XIV and its expansions.

Actively wrote the game music for FFXIV from his hospital bed when diagnosed with cancer, has gone on to receive multitudes of awards & acclaim for much of his work.

Naoki Yoshida, also known as Yoshi P, he's kind of a big deal not only in FF circles but also a Titan in the industry for pulling off the once believed impossible. I wont bother listing it all but there are not one but two documentaries covering his work & he gives seminars on leadership & game design among other things.

Here's the thing, you want to be nice & safe, criticizing the work of others without having it done in return.

The sudden explosion in popularity of this game showed what long times fans already knew, the dev team, everyone involved poured a great deal of work in to it, then it's a good thing you expected my response, i'll be happy to keep giving it.

Sure. They just happen to always be "hot takes". You sure have those going through your head a lot. Your alternate accounts used to house other opinions don't really lend credibility to your claim.

So people who simply post a gpose screenshot on a thread and then leave is more productive than someone who posts a hot take? I can't cap but it's kind of weird to say that the threads that I mentioned above are productive because people can "show pride" and "vent their frustrations out" but threads like this aren't because they're unpopular opinions with some hot verbiage. Even with the OP being a little silly with his responses, I think I can find value in the fact that the people who have posted here obviously have strong opinions on whether or not the MSQ was good or not. Heck, you are having such a discussion right now with another poster, and at least in my interpretation, I think you find SOME value to post here and if you didn't, you wouldn't bother.

The value I find is in replying to people and hoping to provide perspective, I've long since given up not posting in these threads because they are EVERYWHERE and if I kept my discussions to only the threads I wanted to support I would constantly just be buried by such wonders as "ARE PEOPLE WHO LIKE THIS GAME FEMININE?" . The discussion we are having has been had before. Again and again. There are pages and pages of it you can read without this same lame posturing going on yet AGAIN. Yeah, people shouldn't rag on others for not liking things. This is not a hot take. This is such a cold take it's superconductive. However it's obviously phrased to callout people who like the story and feel strongly that it's an important part of the experience. It's such bait it should be in a tub being sold on the pier.

You have no way of determining whether or not the OP cares about the content tbh, he could absolutely care lol and just posts what he wants because he doesn't care how people react to it. People are going to respond to unpopular opinions anyways, that's just a given.

There are reasonable ways to post an opinion and then there's posting confrontational veiled needling. Either he understands absolutely NOTHING about people... or occam's razor: They're doing it on purpose.

Idk about you but people on here tend to be needlessly hostile anyway lol just look at this page right now. Anyway at least in some of their threads I haven't really noticed anything super aggro and even then it's usually not the OP
