Really, that's just the default advice that doesn't require you to decide whether the poster is being truthful or not.

If they're being truthful, they should be told that's what they should do.

If they're lying, they should know it's not worth reporting (and shouldn't have been worth complaining on the forum either).

If they're truthful but wrong anyway, the GM will knock them back.

It's not our business to work that out.

Lol what a strange response tbh. We all know that FFXIV players ALWAYS have a legitimate, logical reason to leave duties and votekick people.

Like yeah duh we're only hearing the OP's side of the story. They can be that type of person to sit there AFK in Prae or maybe they got into some argument, whatever. But if they truly feel like the votekick was abused then what other recourse do they have lol? I guess we're only supposed to collectively believe that the OP is actually in the wrong and go ahead and blame them even though none of us know what led to the votekick.

A good portion of this game's fanbase has a victim complex...It's pretty obvious they believe people who say they are the vicitm.

Or, you could move on. You've done your report as you see fit, and now you're wasting energy and continuing to be annoyed by the possibility that these people are still playing the game. Dwelling on petty things isn't good.

99% of the time kicks don't happen for no reason at all. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, because it does. It's just not a common thing. I've been playing since ARR open beta and I haven't seen it more than a couple times first hand. Considering how you are handling it I'm beginning to believe there's more to this story than we are being told. You are also letting these random strangers get under your skin way more than you should. Report and move on with your life. That's all you needed to do if you felt wronged.

And I never said it was impossible. Just that it isn't likely. I don't know if you are telling the truth or not. Not really any way for us to know for certain. My gut is telling me, however, that we aren't getting the whole truth.

The more I re-read, the more I see this story would fit better in one of those TfDF thread—aka venting story.

None of us here were there at the scene of vote dismissal. We have 0 context how it happened & if it’s just as you said. This is literally one-sided story and you expect any reasonably sane person to believe you immediately? Being skeptical doesn’t mean they are saying you’re lying. Just report and move on. I'm been trying to figure out why this is tilting you soo much? Just form your own groups or play with friends, don't let people you will never meet live rent free in your head.
