Alliance Raids and players not waiting for Cutscene Watchers

Miss what? A tank getting punched in the face? A raid wide that will repeat? You over estimate just how much content is missed. Unless it’s last boss Toto-rak I believe has the 2 minute cutscene, you are missing nothing significant.

We will never agree. I consider not waiting rude and are unable to accept the argument "You over estimate just how much content is missed" as a valid excuse for rude behaviour. Your moral compass is clearly different (not sure if that is the right word. Ethics? Consideration? Education? Something along those lines). Which is basically what this threads boils down to. Unskippable cutscenes in Alliance Raids would be a quick way to kill Alliance roulette. Almost as quick as that time back in SB when the devs got a wild hair up their rump and decided everyone should be allowed to roll need on any gear that drops, regardless of role.

Still don't know what made them decide to do that to this day.

Did you join MSQ roulette recently? There are always players running that although it has the longest cutscenes.
People even run guildheists which don't give a worthwhile reward.

Rolling need on everything only works if people have the same understanding of need. FFXIV is different, people roll need because they can. Not necessarily because there is actually a "need"

I can foresee this as well. Alliance roulette isn’t worth a significant amount of experience as is. In my personal opinion, the value of this roulette only increases as the time spent shortens. Getting a Nier raid for example over a CT diminishes the value of the exp received due to how much longer the raid could potentially take. Add more time by making the cutscenes mandatory and the value of the exp gain diminishes in the same manner.

It may end up looking a lot like level 80 roulette in shadowbringers with long queues due to low participation as people didn’t want the time sink of amaurot for the paltry rewards

Not waiting on others is rude in almost every situation I can think of in life. Especially when its literal seconds. But like you said earlier, other people in this game are nothing more to you than a means to an end. I only hope that perspective is only in game.

Being rude is subjective to each person. That you have different values might be rude from my view, but in no way does that mean you are less smart/educated.

You can't backtrack and say that you weren't saying someone is uneducated for not waiting while your previous post said "Your moral compass is clearly different (not sure if that is the right word. Ethics? Consideration? Education? Something along those lines)". You are saying that a difference in education would result in a difference in morals. Education has absolutely nothing to do with it. I bet you are also one of those people who say, "being a decent human being isn't hard" while being condescending and insulting in the same breath. Oh wait, that's right, you did that.

Do you know why that is? Because they had to buff it twice following the forced cutscene change. When that were first implemented, the roulette immediately died.

Even if they were to slightly buff Alliance Roulette's EXP, it has another problem: naked queuing. If we're all suddenly forced to watch Nier cutscenes, I can all but guarantee even more people will simply force Crystal Tower to spawn. Why wouldn't they? Crystal Tower is already 50% faster for the same reward. Now you wanna make it 60% faster.

It's not about "education". Taking mathematics in school versus geography isn't going to change what kind of human being you are. Going to post-secondary for a medical degree isn't going to make you a better or worse person than someone who went to trade school. If you're going to imply that you meant to say upbringing and personal experiences, then say that. But saying education is you making a statement that people who differ from your opinions are lacking in intelligence.
