ITT: Different large groups of humans are comprised of different types of people! Film at 11.
Also ITT, weak guesswork about group composition. If you've interacted with ten, twenty, a hundred players and read six online articles, your expertise is nil. Your logic is akin to driving around for a week, noting all the colors of the cars you pass, and then based on that data declaring "most cars on Earth are red, and most cars in California, specifically, are blue."
One wouldn't really know that unless they had either:
A) Data, e.g., sales data. Data is the reason we can find the answer to this question, if we wanted to. It has nothing to do with personal observation.
or
B) Personal observation of all the cars on Earth (a billion) or all the cars in California (fourteen million). One can dedicate their entire life to this and not reach their goal.
That being said, some pittance of personal interaction doesn't give any human the intelligent, scientific edge they need to declare group composition with any confidence.
And I am not being flippant - it is a pittance. 24x7x365 video gaming for fifty years, focusing only on meeting and interviewing new people, wouldn't even net you data on a quarter of the player base of any moderately successful game.
The truth? All types of people play all games. Some hardened veterans of actual war play Hello Kitty.
One last thing, we need to get over the idea that sexuality = behavior. Just because you see it on every #hashtagmovement and TikTok video and at every parade, doesn't mean that even a significant portion of some specific sexuality "acts this way," or "likes this stuff". It's nonsense we need to drop.
