Alliance Raids and players not waiting for Cutscene Watchers

My opinion is pretty basic:

In dungeons, you should always wait. In Alliance, it's nice to wait, but if someone pulls it's whatever. If it's Syrcus it's super whatever, absolutely no interesting mechanics happen while that cutscene is playing.

As a tank, I'll wait, but obviously if I've been MTing I'll go in and grab it if someone pulls before me.

If I'm watching a cutscene and people pull without me, they'll have to deal with me not being there. If they can do that fine, cool. If they can't, not my problem. If it's an accidental pull and they can't make it without me, we can have a laugh about it after.

If you start insulting people and making a scene for early pulling, you're definitely not actually helping first-timers and are actively making their first experience worse with unnecessary drama.

Also if we get Ifrit or Garuda or something in roulette and you watch the very long cutscene but it turns out this isn't your first time here, you just kept cutscenes on and let it play for whatever reason, I won't say anything but I will cry a little.

You know, I'd respect the opinion of pro-'waiting for cutscenes' people more if they didn't all end up reacting like this^ if even one person, out of 24 people, is in a cutscene when a boss is pulled.

After a ready check where 23 other people are ready to fight, at that. And not even bothering to mention a cutscene, either!

well because it easy to see if they are in cutscene or not when using ready check. they get X 0,00001 sec when u use ready check. but true the others in the alliance group could have said something

Because of this, I'm glad I'm in JP data center now.

Doesn't mean early pulls doesn't happen at all. I could count with one hand how many times it has.
It's more common to wait for first timers or even wait for everyone to arrive at the arena before pulling.
Even if people selfishly pull when someone is watching the cutscene, more often than not someone will remind people to wait and no one argues over it. No unnecessary drama.

I always skip cutscenes in party content. As soon as the run in question is done I port back to the inn and watch the cutscene without wasting other peoples time.


I sometimes may wait when I have a bit more time to usual but only if it's also ok by the other people.

It's pretty hard to tell if ones in another team in alliance raid is new watching a cutscene when there not in your party. I see no problem if ones start when you're watching them it doesn't affect you any other than not doing in combat.

It's rude to demand that everyone waits, it's not rude to just watch and join in after the cutscene is done.

The answer is simple: it's 24 people. You have 24 different schedules or circumstances to account for, therefore equaling a higher chance of someone being impatient.

Make every Alliance boss fight that has a cutscene play also have a pre-amble boss fight like the 2nd boss in Puppet's Bunker, i thought it was a really well-designed boss for 24man content as you were never really late to the final boss due to how it's structured. Was disappointed the final boss of the 3rd ShB 24 man raid didn't have one as I had to deal with impatient people on patch day. I know the final boss of the 3rd ShB raid is structured similarly but the first portion was definitely more meatier than the equivalent boss in Puppet's Bunker so I'm not including that in my criteria.

It doesn’t force them out of the cutscene so it isnt a issue. They can join in the fight after. They arent going to miss much and can do the fight again anytime.
