I'm on OP's server and I have no idea what she's on about it being constant. Shout chat is either people being bored or FC recruiting 90% of the time. The club announcements are pretty rare from my experience and only ever seen in the 3 starting cities. If you want to avoid it go to another expansions major city.

Yeah. I see ads all the time in Limsa, though it's a combination of RP venues and FC recruiting. It's usually not anything of an adult nature, but it does happen every so often.

Seriously every major city is just bombarded in Shout chat with "GUYS MY CLUB IS OPEN!!11!" Or venue, or tavern, or bar or whatever. And more than half the time it's not even somebody on my dang world doing it. It's all ERP chat recruitment. Between that and Kink Fellowship Finder there is too much being allowed in this game.

Can we start banning this again?

So by your definition static recruitment should be a ban able offence as well?



I was curious and I've been to some clubs and what I found out was that quite a lot of people having fun with bard music and just RP-ing as a musician, etc. Some might have some fun nsfw afterparty but at the same time many do not.
I've been in several statics where some people had a fun after-raid session after the run was done, I've also been in several statics where people didn't had a 'fun' after-raid session with one another.


And can continue and spread this out to all kind of players in the game, you see where this is going?

No, it is not. It is advertising for a club. If you do not like it then put the persons on the blacklist or disable the /shout and /yell-chat.

i mean
it's a game with private chat.

any game with a chat is gonna have erp. it isn't unique to ffxiv. what is unique however is the level of customization is far beyond what even more recent MMOs like ESO provide which gives a lot of people incentive to roleplay.

There are plenty of clubs that are not doing these sort of activities. It's the 18+ ones that are suspicious.

Because there are plenty of individuals who are taught to hate their own human nature, and that it's their quest to force that same ideal on others.
