My one gripe with this mission back when i played it was pretty much the random button spamming thing at the end. Since its one that doesn't block buttons from actually working, so when i spammed away it started hitting all sorts of menus etc which caused me to fail and had to restart the whole thing from the beginning. I hope they have fixed that at least.

I thought this solo duty was amazing, both narratively and gameplay-wise. They accomplished making you feel weak and getting the player to really think about their battle strategy instead of “Hit thing with stick.” It was nerve racking because I had to watch out for enemies at all angles, it was pressure inducing because of the timer, and it was emotional because of the knowledge that your friends are about to be massacred by “you” if you don’t make it to them in time.

I was blown away by this and it’s honestly one of the strongest high points of Endwalker for me. And come on, you gotta admit that calling Zenos a bastard by the end of it felt satisfying, no?

It's a nice reprieve from the monotony of the escortascion/followthatnpc quests and talking to 20 npcs imo. It made you actually pay attention and be spatially aware, which we don't get enough of imo and was fairly quick. It wasn't difficult by any means nor was it dangerous, unless you were watching netflix while going through it, which is what the rest of the game basically trains us to do.

But I know how just absolutely hyper allergic so many ppl are to actually having to play the game. Heavens forbid we have to pay attn and put any semi-real effort into the game for a few minutes...
