I would like to be able to glamour the big guys as egi forms. It would be nice to have obsidian and moonstone carbuncles as well as a green one.
I'm fine with the buffs being connected to Caruncle, that's what he traditionally does.

If you look to the game's lore... indeed that's is the Carby's role. But when it comes to gameplay it's defnitely flawed both mechanically (locks you out when you most need them) and aesthetically (the carby just... stands there idling).
They can keep it still being a "Carbuncle thing" by having the animation of Searing Light and Radiant Aegis summon the Diamond and Obsidian carbuncles to cast it, much like it happens with other summons, thus leaving the basic Summon Carbuncle just an optional, cosmetic, feature.
Building gameplay on lore is part of making a good RPG. Works fine, he's only gone briefly. You're right though, he shouldn't just sit there, they should make him do more.If you look to the game's lore... indeed that's is the Carby's role. I wish they kept a little personality to carby. Like looking at whatever mob you're targeting/hitting.If you look to the game's lore... indeed that's is the Carby's role. I'm fine with carby just chilling out next to us since his responsiveness is pretty much instant in return. I'd enjoy having an entire rainbow of colors for carby to choose from. Wouldn't be that hard to do since it's just a color swap.

My hope is they use all the gemstone names they have in for crafting mats to give us more carbuncles. If you asked me for my dream, I'd have purple/orange/true green/pink as options, plus Alphy's Moonstone and Obsidian looks (call them Opalescent and Onyx / Tourmaline if you need new names or w/e), plus the diamond one since it's also in game. Just give us a small sidequest about "learning to expand our elemental matrixes" or something and unlock them. Ideally, I'd then pair them with the same colors in giant mount form.
If we're going hog-wild, could they sell in the store a pack of carbuncle minions in the rainbow? We have only the plush topaz/emerald ones if you were able to buy a plushie with the code, but they're matte and don't glitter and are stuffed. Give us minion scale carbuncles in a full 10+ color rainbow. I want to set them all free on Island Sanctuary!!!
