and not helping now i have played this game for so long, i dont really care the ost now (because i already heard it too many times) so now everytime i play ff14 i just listen to podcast or somethingI've had mount music off for ages, but only recently discovered I could turn off battle music as well. It was just too jarring to me, as you mentioned, to constantly be going in and out of the different music.
Wouldn't be opposed to being able to select your battle music choice though. Options never hurt.
I just wish that FATE boss music of each expansion utilizes the expansion's combat music. Listening to the same old ARR FATE music over and over from lv1 to lv90 feel like a very sloppy design, while most of players barely bother to hear expansion-specific combat music. If I'm forced to hear FATE boss music, at least make them something less repetitive,
there is a plugin that will do such a thing for you
I'd literally forgotten the game HAS special music for combat; one of the very first things I did was turn that and the mount music off, so I can hear the zone music.
(Now ... if I could only also turn off the stupid FATE music, or SE would update it...)
I would use the ffxiv theme they play in the loporrit moon base for my battle soundtrack if this is possible. It was so awesome to hear it, really brings me back to my days of llaying cecil and kain
I also turned off mount music because it kinds of messes with the zones music since we mount and dismount a lot during our play
I'd totally use SB's dungeons final boss theme for everything.
