While I agree, they are already working on this. We can already wear the lightning / snow's hairstyle, and more may come later, we have to wait for 6.1 to see if they'll unlock more hairstyles for us.

I agree. Cash-shop items are a luxury item, they should've been made available to work for all. I don't think it's cool to say this is Viera's weight to carry or to switch in general, but especially considering these hairs are bought PER character too, it's not like OP can make an alt and enjoy them that way or w/e. He's straight up been kinda... ripped off.

Viera is also why we see less and less outfit from Mog Station comes with hairstyle.I've looked at every single mogstation hair style and I sincerely can not see how any of these wouldn't work with viera head/ears.
If these are things that we've paid real money for before fantasia-ing, we should be able to still use them.
Please just let me use the Aymeric hair for my male viera
A lot of NPC outfits used to come with a hairstyle, i.e. Minfilia and Y'shitora, but now we get only 1 after Viera/Hrothgar?

No but they did shove hairstyles into Bozja content and Ishgard Restoration.
Jokes aside, at the very least I agree, mogstation hats and hair should work. I mean someone said it, it's something you actually have to pay for and you can't even use them.
On a bigger note, I fail to see how Viera can't wear any of the hairs or even the majority of hats. A lot male viera's animations are shared with male miqo: jump, stance (albeit less back-breaking).
Half the glamours in the game clip and I can't see why any of the hairs can't work given that the added ones don't have any differences,
I honestly think that it's less of a "special model" issue and more of a coding thing. They're probably running into issues where the overlapping data isn't work with because or the shared animations and forcing them to individually code them instead of adding the viera to the list of compatible races.

I don't think that's why, they started doing this less and less long before Viera ever came and started making them drops from content.

Correct me if I'm wrong here... but isn't there just 1 mog station hairstyle we can't use? Aymeric's hair is the only one I can think of I had prior to changing races that I can't use now. Snow/Lightning hair was made available when 6.0 launched.
I'm not saying I disagree with the original point, just not sure where it's coming from.
I don't know about males but females can't use Y'shtolas, Minfillias, or Alphinauds. I assume male Viera also can't use Alphinaud's or Thancreds either.Correct me if I'm wrong here... but isn't there just 1 mog station hairstyle we can't use? Ah thanks, I'd forgotten that Thancred and Alphinaud had unlockable hair since I didn't care to get either of their outfits

And it only took them over 2 years. I don't think anyone should be expecting much at this point.
The hat is directly tied to the hair. Apparently the viera exclusive hairstyles at the current moment doesn't have a "hat mode" (like when the hair loses a ponytail or a bigger part of it to accomodate a hat), so they can't just make hats without looking at this 1st. The only reason some hats work for viera is because they conceal hair completely. On a bigger note, I fail to see how Viera can't wear any of the hairs or even the majority of hats. If they worked around that to make mogstation hats available, they might as well go all the way for many other hats that depend on this, like bandanas and caps.
Said that... One thing to bear in mind is that despite any of the above points, some hats wouldn't be available at all, beause their design clash directly with the ear structure, as those are placed in a rather unpractical position on the head. However, granted that these few items would be the exception, not the rule.
