I won't say you're wrong if you're taking a Ninja, I can understand the purpose, but it's interesting Ninja is dropping out of meta for once, Mnk/Sam/Rpr tear it apart. Ninja has been the best melee DPS in the game for several years, it's a miracle.

From the time I tried it, I reached the end of the first set of shining cell before the war of attrition ended me - TBN is intensely strong at making heavy hand do almost no damage (like 10-15kish) when paired with oblation & Reprisal, and Dark Mind + Rampart + Shadow Wall + Missionary + TBN + Oblation reduces the stack damage to only around 20k-25k ish, which removes both of those heavy hits from the equation. (This challenge also reminding me how much I love Oblation's flexibility.)
Eric's autos are the problem. There's almost always a Warden's wrath/Heavy hand/Stack attack around his auto chains, making it impossible to use TBN to nullify autos without it not being up in time for the bigger hit you need it for. Meaning Eric will chip away at your health gradually, and Soul Eater can't keep up.
DRK -should- be able to solo P1N when the next set of gear comes out (using current kit, assuming zero sustain buffs) - the extra defense & HP from the gear will make TBN reduce the stack marker & heavy hand to basically nothing, giving the DRK a huge amount of extra HP to work with to brunt Eric's autos till the next Temperance/Aetherflail section where you can mass recover HP due to Eric not autoing for 30s or so straight. Not to mention the extra HP recharge on Soul Eater & Abyssal from more STR affecting the cure potency.
Honestly, if Soul Eater was like, 600-ish heal potency (or give Bloodspiller a 300 potency heal to increase frequency of incoming GCD healing), there's a decent chance it could do it in this tier of gear as well. 300 manages to create a slow battle of attrition, 600 I think would manage to generate enough HP recovery to survive till next non-auto downtime to generate a ton of your health back.
Regardless of Hypotheticals, DRK can make it roughly 4mins in (my personal best, if someone can get past shining cells through potentially extreme TBN optimization to slow down the HP burn long enough) before Eric's autos eventually finish the DRK off as it stands. DRK theoretically can solo P1N once it has like, 20-30 ish more ilvl where Soul Eater & TBN scale strong enough to counter the HP burn of the autos, but that's not really an accomplishment when the other 3 tanks can currently do it with this tier's gear.
