I laughed IRL because this is exactly what happens. So accurate! For pulls swift raise is nearly fricken useless. I have almost never seen the tank raise then recover unless they are warrior from swift raise. Here is how things usually go; Tank experiences demise during pull > healer casts swift + raise > deeps are running around like headless chickens scattering mobs > tank raises in full panic mode attempting the restoration of order > healer has already died because aggro from healing the deeps > tank uses two aoes and also promptly dies due to welp, no heals > tpk > release
Might have been faster to simply flop over then reset but at the least tis amusing watching everyone scramble about!
Mortal Fist
The reason for this at least in my experience is tbh because most Healers have very slow reaction times and also most DPS just facetank without using any cd's or anything ( recently my bind Ninjutsu and kiting saved me until Tank was up again and took aggro ).
Usually it takes years for Esuna to go out too if it does at all.
What "first stun"? You Swiftcast the first Holy as soon as the enemies are gathered.
Had an embarrassing time in Raid Roulette today. Got A5 on SGE, and mid-fight... I got a phone call I couldn't ignore. "Luckily" we were probably doomed anyway, as people didn't do mechanics and we wiped, but man did I feel bad. Thankfully it didn't last long.
(And no, there was no way of predicting the phone call. I just had to take my hands off the keyboard to take it.)
I've had it go well, as long as the DPS don't panic and stop dpsing. If they keep dpsing, i they can usually keep threat off me long enough to:Made post somewhere within here that if others would stop hoarding their cooldowns for "emergencies" you would find yourself in less emergencies.

A: Raise the tank
B: Keep them alive
C: Heal the tank for when they start to re-establish threat.
But this is a unicorn, people freak out as soon as the tank drops, and no amount of a cool head on your own part is going to pull that back together. The amount of times i've seen a tank die, regardless of whether or not i'm healing, and one or both other remaining people just try and bolt it back to the dungeon entrance, is ridiculous. Just sit tight and we can either pull it together or die, but running around and wasting time is just the worst thing to do on a wipe
I think kiting is a valid choice against mobs without a ranged attack, just run in circles around the healer while you DPS the aggro'd mobs on you
TIL the situation when tank dies is easily recoverable if magic dps casts sleep on the gathered mobs and other dps does not wake them. Irronically if the tank was not DRK in lvl 89 dungeon it likely would not have happened in the first placeMade post somewhere within here that if others would stop hoarding their cooldowns for "emergencies" you would find yourself in less emergencies.

This is just a PSA to never be helpful in alliance raids. Apparently you just get called toxic (to the point the word means nothing).
People use their emotions over their brain because it was both Orbonne and there was two wipes, one to Thunder God and one to Ultima dps check. Common sense in short supply.
you dared to give advice?! how could you?!!!!
I was written off as passive aggressive, toxic, and I forget what else by this point. I mean my advice fell on deaf ears anyway because no matter what the tanks took tethers on thunder god, people drop puddles on the connecting parts of each platform, etc.
Oh and I'm not allowed to defend myself either, because "i" am toxic. Not the person constantly flinging insults at me.
yep, you are definitely the toxic one! like, just listen to yourself!I was written off as passive aggressive, toxic, and I forget what else by this point. sarcasm aside, that's the funniest thing about those people, you see it on the forums a hella lot, too
