    Change some of the summoning skills so the elementals do something else/work with something else.

    It is not bad, I figured out a use for new SMN.

    I can carry a clueless player in savage.. I can make a macro for my friend 1 button macro thing.. and make another mouse macro to keep continuously press 1 button.. and carry my friend in savage all I have to do call outs at discord go here, stay here etc he can do it while auto attack.. erm dpsing (they do reasonable DPS even with 1 button macro should be sufficient in p1s. probably doable also in p2s when we get new weapons :3)..

    You know it's all gone to hell when people praise it because "they don't have to keep track as much as with classes like DNC" or they bring up Summoners from other FF games in a very strange attempt to grasp at anything positive about this mess.
    Summoner is currently in the bin, plagued by horribly CD drift if you go SpS or barely getting your last Demi Spell in. On top of requiring nothing other than 2 thumbs to play.

    See my post on page 5 on how to bring more dynamism to the job without the necessity of adding more buttons, just changing what some of the existing ones do. A LOT can be done with summoner, it has a lot of “skills”, it’s just that many of them are filler with a different coat of paint and slightly different potencies disguised as different skills. If they change those up and also do something with fester to make it fit the current skill-set and theme of the job, SMN would feel so much better.

    Certain fights are optmized that you go at the speed of sanic. So yeah...

    Honestly I have a few ideas but it completely destroys the current flow of the job and rebuild it into a true burst phrase caster.
    I just don't see the point of posting it since it wouldn't give the devs any ideas or will they even see it

    What if Summoner casts were removed completely? And swift cast was also tossed (you can res but it'll be the full long cast).
    Standing still without moving increasingly buffs your damage (or MP generation). (think the Bozja skill that buffs heals if you don't move)
    Or go crazy with the alternative: the further you move from the area where you initiate burn, the more damage you do.
    Maybe Demi's burn MP and the EGI's restore it or you have to juggle it somehow.

    So kind of like Black Mage, but without "hard" casts. Higher skill ceiling.
