    Nah, I disagree. Remember that you can mount up even when in combat unlike wow where you have to be out of combat to mount. There has to be some sort of penalty for it because people shouldn't be able to just mount during combat and ride away.

    Doesn’t that make the solution to provide the same limit as in normal combat, prevent combat mounting? A simple no interaction for 5 seconds would suffice fine, and OP’s observation solution would be an acceptable change. I agree with him anyway. After many years not playing at all, I came back to try PvP, and the heavy thing into a McGangbang does seem to be a bit of a dice roll.

    I like beating the dents out of my shield using my helmet. Sometimes I forget to take the helmet off first.
