according to the ToS its only a problem if someone is there with you, finds it offensive, and reports you.

Which is ridiculous. Happened to me when someone found something I said to be offensive despite it is NOT in any definition and there were ten others who found it okay but still I got warned.
ToS is in Karens' favor which shouldn't really be and we should get the ability to object on warnings & bans.
Actually from what I understand. The current support system can allow a GM to ban a couple of people for no particular reason and get out with it as long as they don't get detected/outraged by the community.

thats actually a rather amusing generalization of people who arent you. the GM's have to follow the rules set out by SE, they dont have free reign to issue bans or warnings. they have guidelines, its not a free for all as you seem to think.

No offense, but this seems like a super naïve perspective to me! The ToS and the rules are written so that GMs can enforce them in virtually any way they like.

no offense but they would have to report suspensions. which can be reviewed by supervisors. its pretty niave to think they can run amok and do whatever they want. could they? certainly. would they be employed for long not likely.

Square does not care nor is there any reason why square should care. The rules are written specifically so that GMs have the ability to take action as they deem fit. There are no guardrails keeping them on the straight-and-narrow, and nobody is micromanaging their decisions. There's no reason to believe otherwise.

plenty of reasons why SE would care, but I think the best position to take it, is we disagree. you are of the opinion that GM's are running amok and powermad with angst against rp'ers and I think there will always have to be oversight. we can likely leave it there. since neither of us have a view on their systems, we will never know.
