How much have you grinded for one pice of glamor?

Back in the day, I grinded for a piece of glamour that was only available if you were rank 50 in PVP. That took me months of doing nothing but queuing for PVP alone.

...And then I decided to do it on a second character.

Not much after I accomplished that, PVP ranks were removed from outfits. Oh, the memories!

You do realize every run at the end of it you get a free drop right, this game has a hateboner for you receiving double items from dungeons so why not just keep them in your inventory? I remember doing it and no longer getting that same drop.

On NYE, I was FINALLY able to get the Royal shoes (even the BLM version) from Crystal Tower.

Not for glamour, but when Dun Scaith came out, the only thing I wanted was BRD pants. The very first time I ran it, a pair dropped. I lotted 97 and lost to the only other person who could 'need' lotting 98.
It was 56 runs before another pair dropped. Yeah, I was kinda salty at RNG on that one.

(Yes, I did get that second pair. But considering my lot on it was like 12, only because there was no one else who could 'need.')

Before the guaranteed gear drop in old dgns, 53 runs for the plaguebringer chest piece...which has now proudly collected dust in storage for nearly 2 years.

Fighting RNG is an eternal struggle, but you're putting yourself through more grinding than you need to in this case.

Since it is a levelling dungeon, If you run it as reaper or dragoon, you are guaranteed to get a new piece of maiming gear each time you complete it. You're guaranteed to get the piece you want within ten runs at most.

That's assuming the pieces that drop are maiming at all. He could do 15 runs and each time only caster and fending drop.

You don't ALWAYS get a piece of gear for your job on every run, let alone a piece from the boss that drops your item.

If it's a levelling dungeon, not 50/60/70/80/90, you absolutely do always get a new piece of gear for your current class upon completing the dungeon.

There's no fanfare or coffer. It just drops into your inventory immediately upon defeating the final boss.

I did 70+ runs of LotA back in 2.4 for the healer body piece.
I took a 4 week break from the game after that x.x
