OCE Server Announcement; Are you going?

My most concern is ppl there might not speak english.
But speak multiple languages just like some servers of JP dc.
My plan is to wait and see for a bit, I might create a new character and see how it goes.
Better connection sounds sweet but there is no point to move if I can't communicate with ppl there.

SE is going to have to give a little on the housing market to existing owners, prying their homes away from them is a task and a half.

This was always going to happen. Most people will just hope others move to the DC to make it worthwhile for SE, while thry stay.

If the DC ends up dead tho, well....

SE will probably have to dangle a bigger carrot, for example giving anyone who gives up a house a priority housing token, allowing them to skip the lottery and buy out a place once.

I feel like it would be a nice change of pace, but am hesitant due to being in EST America. I also don't want to clog up the server from people in OCE who actually need them.

In a general sense yes I would like to:

• Latency
• Better chance at housing
• English speaking groups

all factor in.

The two things that make me hesitate are:

1. under-population tanking the duty finder and market
2. Social implosion with Aussies being horrible (coming from an Aussie)

Can't really assess those concerns until some time after the opening happens.

It would be lovely to have low ping, but I can't leave the community here on Mateus. I've made lifelong friends, and they're worth a higher ping -- even in Savage.

I'm quite new and I'm going. I've only been playing a few months: No house, no FC, no friends, and I want that fast ping. My one concern is whether the AU community will be as non-toxic as the NA server I've been playing on.

As a culture we tend to be sarcastic and gruff, but don't generally mean any harm by it.
