    S+ Minions can accidentally be despawned (please fix!)

    Earlier today on Jenova, Aether DC there was minion withdrawal while attempting to spawn the S+. This incident was recorded.

    A player flees the minion, "Ker Shroud", and is subsequently targeted at random after for a spell, "Accursed Pox". However, the aoe from "Accursed Pox" needs to be centered on the player it has selected in order to start casting. It chases the player to try to accomplish this, (who had gone quite far by that point), and ends up tethering, immediately despawning and failing the S+ attempt.

    It would be nice if SE revamped the idea of the S+ minions so that it is not so easily disrupted -a time limit is fine, but maybe don't make it disappear if it gets reset or tethers? As observed in Shadowbringers, the minions are easily exploited and can be despawned in order to troll, or accidentally in cases like these by people who are unaware of the circumstances regarding them and die or try to escape.

    Disclaimer: This video is not intended to harass or belittle anyone who has accidentally caused a minion despawn. Accidents happen ^^ So let's fix the system instead.

    Had it happen a last week or the week before on Cactuar with the ones that spawn on the moon. Someone died to the one close to the aetherite, and nobody was there to grab it right away after. They need to reposition them to not be so close to something like that for people just walking by when it spawns to pull it, die to it, and have it despawn. There should be a bit more of a window for that to happen. Though, if someone hits it and dies, then that is entirely different.

    It's both frustrating and disappointing that the same problems with the Shadowbringers S+ minions were not fully addressed, nor considered in Endwalker's iteration. Especially since this can be (and has been) exploited by malicious players to grief hundreds of other players in the past.
    I think the time limit itself is a sufficient amount of pressure. The rest overwhelmingly benefits bad actors and penalizes quite literally everyone in attendance. Even in the case of ignorance and accidents, these spawns draw hundreds of players to the map, whose efforts are all then wasted.
    And yes, there will always be another hunt. But, not everyone has the same time to invest. So there is the additional wound of robbing some players of their limited opportunity to actually see and fight the S+ rank in that fortuitous time when they are around, when that chance may not repeat for them for weeks or months.

    Technically speaking, the mechanic is working as intended. There's no "bug", just maybe poor planning.

    Yeah they definitely shouldn't just despawn on tether. The only reason I can think for it even working this way is if, for some reason, they can't have the limited time spawn work if they're reset? That doesn't make much sense though because this isn't a problem for fates and as far as I'm aware Ker himself doesn't despawn if tethered (does he?)

    No S rank (including Ker and Forgiven Rebellion) despawns if tethered or reset - their hp just goes back to 100%

    Man, looks like SE has put me out of business. SE does the despawning for me.

    As for this mechanic, I think it's a fantastic feature that should honestly be implemented into any S Rank, to where if the S Rank ever gets reset by a griefer who thinks there was an early pull (no such thing as early pulls, but the community at large seems to think so), just as one example, the hunt itself will just disappear entirely. Lets keep hunters honest.

    Replace with time limit sounds fair to me. Just give people 30 minutes to kill the minions, and if there's a reset on any of them in that time due to wipe or run away, it just stays in the zone and lets you fight it from 100% HP again. Why would it be designed in a way to punish everyone for a little accident or mistake.
