    I have excellent gear - fully overmelded. I'm wondering if it may actually be too high. I've ran into that issue with fishing in older areas before. IMHO - one shouldn't have to strip to fish.

    Just to add to this the "you need to lower your stats for fish" is a myth and is not needed, nor never has been.

    We've got a Diadem Fishing Guide put together that should help you min/max out what you need to do.

    Wait, what?! I don't know everything about fishing by a long shot but I have never heard of "stats being too high". Are you sure that is a thing? Am I that out of touch? It sounds like some FFXI level mysticism to explain bad luck...
