We need to talk about the Stuffed Bom Boko

I'm tempted to actually put the dang things up in my house to have a representation of how many I get. Bom bokos and Alphas.. covering every surface.


RNG is RNG, but weird how we all got so many.

I haven't seen dyes or minions since EW dropped. Mostly random dungeon gear.

Gotten plenty of Stuffed Alphas, though.

Same, this and Bom boko, never a dye - and im having max retainers with 2x 3 gathers on max and 2/3 battle classes at max... its annoying. And when theres gear it tends to be from teh same levels...

They definitly toned down the dyes though...

I'm filling my personal room in the FC house with every Suffed Bom Boko I get.
I am up to 43.

Yeah the Bom Boko's and Alphas are really getting old. I'm tired of selling them to a vendor/destroying them. I get multiple Bom's per day and usually at least one alpha every day or two.

It used to be that I got a wide assortment of things from my retainers and could actually find things to sell for profit. Since EW I don't think I've really gotten anything worth selling on the AH.

Yup its really strange ! maybe they want us to buy the dye from the mogstation ... surely not right ?

If it's just about dyes, that's one thing, but those coffers are also the only way to get Retainer Fantasias, which are not sold on Mog Station.

Prior to the loot redesign that introduced the venture coffers, they were maybe 1000 gil each. Now they're rare and the price keeps creeping up. Currently around 40,000 gil on the server I'm logged into now, which is expensive enough that it doesn't seem worthwhile making edits to retainers for the price.

First of all...it's cute, okay. It really is, okay? okay. Get it out of your system now because it's time to rant.

SECONDLY, before EW, I used to get at least one "common" dye minimum every week, as long as I sent all 3 of my retainers on hourly ventures, over a period of 3-5 hours. I used to also get one black or white at least once a month. Sometimes I'd get lucky and get those every two weeks.

I'm not getting any of that now, even with my retainers wearing EW's AF gear (they're all combat jobs). But I am getting the really cute stuffed bom boko alot. Something has happened in the rng coding of the Quick Exploration. And while I utterly and completely despise the "Am I the only one who bla bla bla" question...(deep breaths) I gotta ask. I gotta break my own code and let all the cells in my body recoil in cringe:

Am I the only one that's getting this sort of rng from Quick Exploration?

EDIT: Btw, I forgot to add, I'm not even getting common dyes anymore. Haven't gotten a single one. Forget black and white, I don't even get weird Woad Blue dye or something like that.

I haven't seen a single dye since EW dropped. No minions, either. I have seen a metric fuckton of Stuffed Alphas and Bom Bokos, though.

I do still get venture coffers, sometimes.
The retainer fantasias, which used to be worthless, are up to 100k.
And the pure black dye I managed to get once, which was down to 100k, was up to 800k.
Says a bit about the supply...

I spent more than 3k ventures since EW and have yet to see a venture coffer...

I haven’t gotten a single venture coffee and im sending out a bunch of battle retainers. Lots of boko and alphas. Its like getting the fireworks from Firmament all over again.

No dye of any color, no venture coffers, no minions, starting from way back before EW. Just green, occasionally blue gear, furnishings, and many, many stuffed alphas and bom bokos. And that's with 2 characters each sending out the max number of retainers. They must have really nerfed the loot table for ventures.
