We need to talk about the Stuffed Bom Boko

Am I the only one that's getting this sort of rng from Quick Exploration?

EDIT: Btw, I forgot to add, I'm not even getting common dyes anymore. Haven't gotten a single one. Forget black and white, I don't even get weird Woad Blue dye or something like that.

You're not the only one. I got 12 of them last week alone... I did recently get a General Purpose Dark Blue Dye, but overall dyes have been less common.

I thought it was just my bad luck getting all those Bom Bokos and no coffers, but I guess not. They could at least make them so you could desynth them like the Alphas, at least you'd get something out of them. I've gotten 3 so far today, 2 of em back to back.

I do still get venture coffers, sometimes.
The retainer fantasias, which used to be worthless, are up to 100k.
And the pure black dye I managed to get once, which was down to 100k, was up to 800k.
Says a bit about the supply...

Oh yes, that reminds me of something that one of my FC mates said last week. One of them wanted to get metallic silver dye, which usually went about 25k to 40k max. Pr-EW

Not only they went up to 80 to a 100k but there was only four of them on the mb and for thr next four days, that's where the quantities and prices mostly sat.

On another note, yesterday, I finally received a venture coffer containing metallic red dye and this morning a, dark red. That was, of course, after getting 3 more bom bokos between yesterday and today.

I call shenanigans.

SECONDLY, before EW, I used to get at least one "common" dye minimum every week, as long as I sent all 3 of my retainers on hourly ventures, over a period of 3-5 hours. I used to also get one black or white at least once a month. Sometimes I'd get lucky and get those every two weeks.

I've never seen a dye drop in this game outside of as a reward for a quest since I started playing - when ARR came out.

The higher level your retainer, and therefore your retainer's gear, the better stuff they bring you.

The only retainer that's routinely bringing me back good stuff right now is my fisher, because he got my level 90 crafted rod the second I upgraded to the purple scrips rod. (Stat wise, overmelding the left and right side gear made more sense, but the main hand purple screens are good enough and free.) I need to sit down and craft my retainer crew a full set of decent 90 gear so they can go back to making me rich when I'm out saving the universe.

Just wanted to share this here.
I did put (almost) all Stuffed Bom Boko and Stuffed Alpha that I got since Endwalker release, into my room at the FC house.
It's too much. There has to be a bug or something wrong with the drop rate.
Even retainers, that are now level 90 and are wearing my AF, still bring these back D:

I'm convinced that the Stuffed Alpha sometimes desynthing into Fieldcraft Demimateria III is the sole reason those are barely worth vendor price anymore.

I was actually wondering about this myself and just figured the Bom boko was basically the dummy prize of a "failed" Retainer venture. A few months back I was getting, as was others, a ton of Alphas. Now if I get an Alpha instead of a Boko I actually consider myself lucky. After gearing up my retainers further I do seem to get less of them and am mostly getting all manner of high ilevel level 80 gear.. which is nice at least for the GC seals (and the few classes I dragged to 80 but didn't care about) if nothing else.

I wouldn't say I ever got a ton of dyes or venture containers, but I did get some of them and they definitely seem more rare at this point in time.

Heck, I guess it's still better than fireworks.
