I wish, but seeing how there seems to be more sets being reused, and continuously less content each expac, I feel like the female hrothgar inclusion will only cause even more cuts.

I am in full support & share the Viera frustration
I can understand folks wanting to add mog station hairs & reward hairs but that's where the "assimilate" mentality should stop.
If it's easier for us to get the unique Viera hairstyles rather than having the same, boring hairstyles added that other races have, I would much prefer the unique viera hairstyles by miles- my biggest complaint already is how there is a massive lack of variety on the current hairstyles for other races so I certainly don't want that lack of variety to reach Viera or Hrothgar-
My support- 100%, give them different hairstyles with optional diadem/ Viera Tiaras & fix Hrothgar & give them their own hairstyles as well
Please, Get a team to solely work on Viera & Hrothgar hairstyles
Viera & Hrothgar feel so unfinished (to me) & like an afterthought
I want to be a Viera, but I cannot justify spending money until positive changes are made to both of these races

It always irks me when people give other people crap for just wanting something they paid for to be finished. Granted there are people who start as those races now, but is it ok for them to be limited? Is it right? To me they should've never came out until they were ready. And now we have a Blizzard level allied races level of lazy from SE and because their fanbase is so up their ass they can't even say "Hey fix this!"
So think of this as me trying to help the cause by bumping the thread.
Unique, quality, viera hairstyles would be a dream. Most of the base hairstyles don't look very good, in my opinion, anyway. I still would like some of the more desirable, and mogstation hairs made available though. I can't help myself switching back and forth off of viera, but I don't feel good about having to give SE more money whenever I do. Much less of an incentive to update them or hrothgar, when they make more and more off of them as is.I am in full support & share the Viera frustration

Exactly! All of the holiday helms can just let the ears clip through or just hide them altogether (they are bulky, there is room inside for folded ears). What's even worse is they keep adding holiday reward hats that neither can wear, effectively cutting them out of holiday content. Also like mentioned above many achievement crowns/hats aren't wearable by them cutting out that content. At the VERY LEAST, all new hats should be made wearable by them, all achievement/holiday/mogstation hats and ALL ARTIFACT HATS!!
Those helms conceal all of the hair a character uses, so the theory about Viera's unique hairstyles not having the "hat friendly" version designed wouldn't matter here.
Some hats, I do agree that they would be really problematic, like the example of the Welkin Hat:
Viera ears are naturally tall and more or less crowing the head as opposed to being more to the side like Miqo'te's. While clipping minor details on the base is okay-ish (Reaper relic helm), the ears would clip through this hat's pointy cone terribly. There are many helmets like this, with a structure that would conflict with the ears.
Now, an idea to resolve this? Since there are "hat-friendly" hair variations, I'd say... why not create one "hat friendly" ear model, that is more or less pushed to the sides? Look at the example of this artwork:
Having an imposed ear model in some helms/hats is better than not having them at all.
Beyond the hats and hairs, when they resolve the issue with Hrothgar heads and hairs I hope they consider an option in the Aesthetician to change their posture. They already have upright Hroth NPCs and emotes.

Yoshi-P: First of all, I would like to talk about the main points, why Viera and Hrothgar who have not yet been able to wear headgear. We have some standardized specifications when it comes to headgear. Due to the unique design, for example the Viera with the long ears, these specifications do not always fit here and cannot always be used. If players didn't mind if there were some graphical issues here and there then that would be fine, but if they are very visual it will not work with the standard specs that are we currently have in the game. So it's because of the fact that Hrothgar and Viera have a unique design, especially for the head. Perhaps it should be seen less from the perspective that they simply have fewer hairstyles and headgear than other races, but rather that it is not possible for them to wear them.
However, we are of course aware of the requests from the players and we are not the type of team that gives its players the cold shoulder and ignores their wishes. There have been points in the past that we thought impossible at first, but which we were then able to make possible. In this case in particular, over the past six months we have repeatedly thought about how we can reduce development costs or what options we have to implement all hairstyles. In between working on the updates, we always take the time to think about these things and weigh the possibilities. We even have regular meetings on this. I was in a meeting yesterday exactly because of that, and the next one is already planned for next week. So the players can be sure that we are concerned about this, but I would ask that they show a little patience and wait a little longer. Hopefully we have good news to announce soon.
This, together with more recent announcements and the actual release of some few additional styles makes me hopeful for hair at least. Here's a snippet of an auto-translated interview with Buffed last year in May 2021:

I understand his concern with headgear specifications, it can be literally seen by looking at someone wearing an very detailed helm and you'd think where your ears would fit without clipping horribly?
Hairstyles is a completely different territory, as the only thing that keeps them now from releasing more is time allocation for the 3D artists required to make the adaptations. Visually there's not a single hairstyle in the game that would somehow conflict with ear design. Maybe the "Make it Rain" style could have its disheveled ponytail clip slightly through some, but nothing else other than that.
Its surprising that model from 2001 looks way better than ffxiv hrothgar
