From what I understand , Viera were added only because of overwhelming feedback ( i guess after the invalice raid cutscene character appeared on screen) of the community.

Did they state that they won't get hats before ShB , or are they the sort that think " tough, you wanted vieras, we didnt , take it or leave it" ?

Yoshi-P said that due to Viera and Hrothgar being unique races, he and his team didn't deem hats necessary for us to have because we needed to 'retain our unique features'. So, in order to compromise with the community (as I said in my first post on this forum) he stated that we would have more exclusive hairstyles to come - it was a good idea at the time, but I'm not sure what the hell happened with that. Either they failed to come up more with viera-themed hairstyles or the community complained that they want Viera to basically be just like the other races (Even though it's impossible) - high demand usually wins.

I think that just plenty of fur/hair options would have been enough , yet its clear they let it slide for too long

A worrying trend I see , not just hairs but the modus operandi for the Dev team come a new expack

MSQ > Walk to purple circle spawn adds mostly ( was nice to see some slight variation in EW though) total hours 3 , maybe 4 hours ( cutscenes and slow pre flight msq map traversal taking up the rest)

It doesn't matter, because August 7th 2019 Yoshi-P said during a live letter that there WILL be more race-exclusive hairstyles and I imagine they would've included diadems and other accessories, and we didn't even get that. At this point, stop ignoring SE's laziness. They had 2+ years to fix this issue but decided on making male viera instead with the EXACT same issues.

Also, we were given glasses, circlets and some hoods ONLY because the character development team made it happen in their spare time. Isn't that even slightly shady to you? They can do it, SE just won't put the time into it.

I'm still waiting for my Viera Race exclusive hairstyles too
I won't fantasia into a Viera- the race I want to play more than anything - until actual QoL updates are given to them
It seems like Yoshi-P mentions alot of things we can quote him on only to find out later he backtracks & not only that, people don't bat an eyelash so nothing has ever been said much about it
Like Hilda's ponytail, there were countless requests for it & Yoshi-P said "if more requests come in then maybe" Maybe? if many requests are still being made for that specific hairstyle, then why is it still a maybe? We're not "maybe" requesting it- people are asking to wear her hair in game to the point people will pay for it & are making mods to wear it.

I agree with you on this - and Male viera & Hrothgar should have come much later & instead the design team should have worked on putting more Race specific hairstyles on Viera & fixing them by adding mog station hairs & in-game reward hairstyles too- I'm half convinced that the two-week delay Yoshi-P needed was so they could quickly put a random assortment of hairstyles on Viera, because of how rushed the job looks.
If male hrothgar had come out now, then they probably wouldn't be such a limited class cosmetically
Female Viera might have the fixes people want & that the race needs & more time would have been devoted to them in ShB if they were the only race being developed at that time
If male viera had been pushed out much later, they would probably have better features as well
I'm worried to see how rushed female hrothgar will be because I know they'll be just as limited & the XIV team will just forget about them like they clearly have any other cosmetic feature race related (miqo'te ears/ tailed races, Viera & Hrothgar altogether)

Maybe after this expansion, Square Enix will stop treating FFXIV team like the ugly step child and actually properly fund their most profitable AAA game. That way, we can finally get sill crap like this this resolved.
