Usually around the heavy hours. Please add a message warning that pops up before we transfer, notifying us that the server que is congested before we visit another place, and lose our precious spot on our home server. IT'S A PAIN, to be stuck with out use of our retainer for hours, we cant even leave the map we're in if we're in que waiting to go back...

TLDR: Please add a warning message prior to world visiting informing us of congestion and heavy ques.
It can read something like "Warning! Due to heavy congestion at these hours, you may find heavy traffic upon returning. Do you still wish to world visit?"

Any other ideas are welcome, but currently I'm stuck outside my home world and thought this might be a good idea to implement.
It's all very well to complain.

But if you do a little research, inter-server travel works in much the same way as connecting to this server.

So, if you think a bit before clicking, you'll soon realise that it's a bad idea, especially when you've had to wait 2000 queue to connect.

It's also not possible to create a character when there's a queue.

Do you see the link or not?

I get on during the non peak hours, and mostly operate during all those hours in game, but there was a 30 min window in which it flooded with people, so while you guys ARE CORRECT in stating the obvious, implementing a warning system, for those who just may not be aware of the hours because they've been in game ALREADY, is a good idea. I don't think it would bring any harm by having it.

Mmm, yes. Maybe it could show the current queue depth on the page where you pick the server.

However, it's likely to be a short term problem, it's clear less and less people are playing each day, and the time of day where there are long queues is getting shorter. As valid and nice as the QOL idea is, other things could be cleaned up by SE's developers too.

Why do you need a warning? You can jump off Balmung from around 11PM->11AM Eastern no problems. After 2 or 3PM the queue starts to climb. Most people play from 3PM->10PM.
