Right now Gilgamesh has a 4K+ queue to get login, and Crystal you have servers without significant queues anymore at all. People would love to transfer and cannot. The visit another world button doesn't work after noon. Would be really nice if some balancing could occur at least.

Have we not learned from the past. Opening transfers wo t do much when so much of the player base shares the mindset "I refuse to transfer so I hope others will" Being thats its data center transfer even fewer people are going to be willing.

Over in Hyperion at least, the last couple of days, the highest que I've been in was about 600 and Im usually not waiting longer than half an hour...and thats usually at primetime (8pm est)

According to the most recent (albeit ad-hoc) player population/census report, Gilgamesh is the NA server with the highest active population.

And while I can't speak to Gilgamesh from personal experience, I can absolutely attest from painful personal experience that folks can still easily have ~2 hour queues on Leviathan—the server that was a close second to Gilgamesh—in the evening, if they try to log in after work. It's why you can server-hop within Primal from Leviathan to go cross-world shopping without any delay, but Twelve help you if you're trying to get back to Leviathan afterwards.

(I have no idea why Levi is so packed compared to other servers in Primal.)

We still have congestion on Crystal during prime time, it just lasts for a shorter period of time than it does on Aether depending on world (Balmung gets congested about 2 hours earlier than other Crystal worlds, and Mateus about 30-60 minutes earlier).

SE could allow players to transfer to Crystal but our congestion would end up the same as Aether. You would be stuck complaining about congestion all over again, nothing gained.

Considering most of you are complaining about not being able to raid with your statics, what good does it to do to transfer when your static won't be transferring with you?

Gotta agree with OP. The RPers have already finished the MSQ and gone back to twitter or whatever rule34 site they hang out in, while the gamers are stuck in queue in Aether and Primal. Open up world transfer or reallocate some server space out of Crystal.

Are you going to stay on Crystal or move right back as soon as you think things are better? If you're not going to stay, there's no reason for them to open up world transfer (unless they're solely out for the money profit) because nothing will have been improved. You're still going to go back to overpopulate your worlds.

There's WoW's example to learn from. Players complained about crowded servers and asked for free transfers. Blizzard provided said free transfers. Almost no one used the free transfers - they all expected everyone else to make the change because they shouldn't have to.

They also can't just "reallocate server space". That's not how things work.

It's pretty funny that you think our reduced congestion is due to RPers finishing MSQ and no longer logging in. RPers are still logging into the game because they never run out of content, it's self-generated.

The people who have quit logging in are the ones who only care about EX/Savage. They rushed through MSQ, farmed EX for their weapons/accessories and ran out of content to do. They'll be back on Tuesday for Savage, though, and our congestion will jump back up again.

It's almost like things aren't as simple as everyone seems to think it is, and despite it being 2022, people still think being uninformed means they know how servers work.
