    Wishful thinking for sure. Illusionist is the first that comes to mind with the "how?" lol. Moogles had that gadget job with the rng and status stuff which wouldn't really work without some major tweaks too. Still they made RDM work so I feel they can do something with some of them. Mog Knight being a dps with charges and a 2hand sword would be kind of neat. I guess it really depends on how SE feels reusing weapons. though tbf Sniper in FFTA used "great" bows I'm pretty sure so it might still work out.

    I really want a hammer tank, or maybe a dark themed healer. They've been blueballing us on hammers since antiquity and we already have a dark caster, physical dps, and tank, now all we need is a dark healer/physical ranged class.

    For me, I'd like to get three new jobs ( Just like in HW ) and while I like the idea of having new original jobs. I'm all in for classic jobs we don't have yet (Time mages and Geomancers are most notable.)

    Job balance has never been because of the number of jobs. It's always been about skill bloat that happens overtime. Even if they stopped adding new jobs, the problem still wouldn't change. Jobs get old and dusty. It just happens in mmos

    Now that we are heading to another adventure, I‘m hoping for more „non-heroe WOL-esque“ jobs, like:

    -more void/dark themed jobs like reaper, dark knight
    -thief/rogue (I know some people that like rouge/thief themed jobs but don‘t like ninja because it has a very different vibe to it)
    -something that wields a crossbow (would have loved a non-magical healer (healing bolts/poisonous bolts for dmg)
    - an archer job that doesn‘t have the whole bard „theme“ with it. something like a hunter job would be nice!
    -a job that wields a big ass hammer

    I throw it out that the point of the job being Limited is that they can give those jobs off the wall and insane abilities. You want to imagine the loadout BLU would get if you could take it to Ultimate? I don't, because it would be a huge disappointment.

    I don't want new jobs in 7.0. I would rather they utilize all the time they were going to develop new jobs be redirected into all the stuff in the game that's been left back. Turn the shallow parts of the game into deep pools or even invest half that time into meticulously touch up all the current jobs that need them.

    Also, at some point, if they keep adding jobs, those jobs will inevitably become expy jobs and boy, when you go into that territory, there's no going back.

    I'm still holding out hope that Geomancer isn't just a "subset" or whatever of Astrologian, as the questline seems to want to try and claim. I adore the feng-shui elements it gained in XIV over just being a terrain wizard like in the prior games, though FFT's version will always have a special place for me.

    Since the other DoT heavy classes have greatly lessened their focuses on them (Summoner entirely, Bard mostly), it seems pretty fair for them to focus all in one one job for that archetype - Geomancer could be a good fit, since it seems tied to fortune and logically, the inverse over the general fate shenanigans Astrologian's cards are about; hell, a bunch of geomantic things in the Swallows' Compass are straight up called 'Maledictions' - basically curses. Which yes, Blue Mage DOES learn a version of one of the spells, but that's hardly a disqualifier.

    If they don't just move away from that design type, which would be a great shame. They're very fun when done well.
