    Beast tribe quests

Catching up as a fairly new player, I task myself to finish most old content before stepping into anything pass 6.0msq, so much blue quests, side quests, crafting & gathering yet untouched.

Just want to ask if any of the beast tribe questlines are relevant to the story or not.
I've heard how grindy it gets, so my original plan was to get every tribe to at least friendly in the hopes of not missing out any major story depends on how grindy it is. If they are important to the storytelling I'll get them to their highest ranks, if not I'll stick to my plan.

    Important? No. Referenced, yes.

So far, almost everything is relevant to the story.

ARR beast tribes are mostly about building relations with splinter factions of the various beast races.

Nice, do I need to obtain the highest rank to learn everything? I understand certain reward locked behind reputation ranking but I hope at least the lore won't require much grinding.

I wouldn't waste time investing in the ARR beast tribes due to the inordinate amount of effort they take. Merely unlocking them and doing their initial quest would be enough.

Subsequent beast tribes are significantly easier and quicker.

You'll be introduced to the relevant characters if you just do a few. There are also quests that only unlock when maxxing out the rep for all 3 and a unique reward. You will probably notice the references if you just do the quests, but you probably won't value them unless you play through the story.

I am a crafter first and then combat role next.. lol so I love the best tribes. Having said that though, I think they all should be done for the background of the story it gives and the items you're able to get from them. Dyes, and such.

Also, go into it with the mindset that you will do a little or ARR and then focus more on the others each day/week however you play.. You get 12 quest a day from them, so while I am doing them, I do a couple from ARR and then the other 10 I do from other tribes.. This way, they are all moving forward, some quicker than others, but in the end I will have completed them all.

Let's also be honest.. none of them are hard.. go here, fetch that, kill this, deliver that.. For me it gives me a place to buy Coke or Dyes I need and want, also the mounts are good to have in your collection and the small poetics help. When doing my relic weapons for ARR sometimes I would be a little short of what I needed to buy or the next book.. Doing the beast tribes gave me those poetics when my roulettes were done and I needed just a few more..

Think long term when it comes to ALL beast tribes and you will enjoy the journey they all offer.

I like doing them and the relationships I gained with them. Except the Slyphs and the Vanu Vanu. They aren't worthy of my love.

Though it will take like a month to max them all out per expansion.

I really wish I took my time and didn't skip most of the side content when I first started ARR in September, and I barely finished 5.55 days before EW early access and now I've invested money in my character I can't really just restart anew. Jumping in and out NG+ while clearing every side content on my way is definitely not the smoothest gameplay experience, hopefully next expansion I get to slow down and just enjoy every bit of the content like it's intended
