Dear all Tanks, please do everything in your power to make the healer's job easier, as time they spend not healing is time they spend doing DPS, which makes the fight go faster
Sincerely,
Person who plays SGE/AST

My outline for a Chemist healer: https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/513527-Healer-Concept-Draft-Chemist
Clearly they're failing the DPS check on the bag by wasting too many GCDs healing :P
This, 100%. Except tanks will die more after the nerf. When healers have turned to blaming tanks for simply using their free toolkit, instead of appealing to the developers who actually make the game to put some real damage for them to heal, you know they've truly given up hope they'll ever be listened to.
They'll probably nerf tank healing soon enough given all the outcry, then we'll go back into content and realize we're still spamming our one button and healing with just oGCD's and nothing actually changed.
It's like wondering which came first, the chicken or the egg? Do healers get sleepy because there is nothing to heal, or is there nothing to heal because healers are sleepy? Whichever it is, it would appear the response is the self-sustain tanks have, especially WARs.
Dear insecure healers,
Please stop being such babies. You have DPS buttons for a reason.
Sincerely,
Warriors and Paladins
War is my tank of choice as shadowbringers perfected the class. However, I felt this was going to be an issue with the stat squish, and I felt SE had a great opportunity to reset the trinity.
1. Tanks take MORE damage across the board. TEN becomes more valuable for MT.
2. Healers actually need to heal while weaving dps. Piety becomes more valuable for healer MP management providing actual tactics.
3. DPS need to play smarter and take no damage or die. DPS dying puts you closer to enrage.
Everyone should play their role, but also work as a team.
Currently the holy trinity is busted and this can all be solved by mobs hitting HARDER. When a tank buster only hurts me 10% of max HP. No wonder healers fall asleep. Nothing gives you a shot of panic mashing lightspeed and benefic II when your essential dignity is on cd. And your tank pulls 12 mobs. That kinda of healing keeps me awake.
You can't do that here. Anything and everything will be torn apart. Some people will say this is just the nature of the internet, but these forums are some of the worst I've ever seen for that. Nothing is undefiled.Whoah wait what? I never said anything about refusing to DPS. Im not one of those healers haha, you must have misunderstood my post. By wanting to heal I mean wanting to use my ogcds. I only go to GCD heals if I’m out of options
Just wanted to make a lighthearted post about the current green Warrior meme, calm down…
But but but as a Warrior they must obviously do everything. EVERYTHING!!!
Sure it'll upset some people, but honestly they just need to nerf the non-Healer heals in general to begin with, AC on Reapers is way too strong too.
It almost begins to feel a little like what's even the point of Healers anymore?
I get that being able to solo a lvl 90 Expert dungeon boss is fun, but just because it might be fun doesn't mean it's healthy for the overall game or good balance.
I experienced this. I was in one of the leveling dungeons, and there's a mechanic on the last boss I haven't quite mastered but survived it every time I've tanked it. As healer, I died with the boss at 85% and the two DPS (DNC and RPR) were around 30% health. I've seen tanks do it before, but the WAR played masterfully. The three remaining players all had full health when the boss was dead.
I don't fault the player for using his skillset well but it is a little demoralizing as a healer to not even have been needed for the fight.
There was a discussion within my FC about similar experiences, and the consensus is that it's balanced around a fight or fights that haven't been released yet.
