no it's not just the old team. the same thing is still going on.

battle sucks "wait til 1.18'

battle is still bad "wait til they finish"

crafting sucks "wait til recipe changes"
recipe changes hit
crafting is still bad "that was only the first change keep waiting"

as far as entirely a different team you may want to look that up. there were very few changes off of the old team. they did add some new people and changed the people in leadership positions, but the majority of the original team are in place.
