dont hold your breath. the crafting/gathering community has been reporting cheaters using bots for YEARS, with in depth reports and... crickets.

Oh, I know... Housing too. Bot use is rampant for many communities, including PvP.

Empowering senior members of the local GM team does seem viable. GMs who played the game might help too.

Those ppl aren't hackers. They're unskilled script kiddie posers trying to convince other people they're a skilled gamer that found a program online made by someone else because they couldn't complete offline games without a game genie, game shark, action replay, etc which mostly went the way of the dodo when consoles got internet connectivity. On the plus side these people are probably playing on a 600 dollar "gaming PC" they got from walmart with little to no security on it because they don't know any better as they go looking around sketchy websites for stuff to install to let them cheat at online games.

They did finally do something about the party finder ad spam after someone remarked about it in one of the interviews, so maybe somebody needs to just raise awareness of the rampant cheating to someone influential in the community so they can properly emphasize just how bad the problem is next time they can get in touch with the devs directly.
