To be honest many eastern, and even western, game developers have a poor grasp of theology and actual religious doctrine. So I do agree with OP to some extent. Also, religious free societies have been attempted...and have resulted in the deaths of millions. So please, get off thine high horse.

Religious societies also have plenty of deaths on their hands. So really, the message here is that people suck.

I am not disputing that. Many instances of corruption of faith and using it as means for justifying atrocities have occurred within history. I just take issue with people blaming it solely on faith and religion. When in fact, even in the absence of faith these atrocities still happen.
