I've been seeing them, too.Anyone somewhat concerned by this? Not that I have a problem with people who don't want to go through the story, but it suggests a significant number of new players as of Endwalker are skipping and buying boosts. My main concern is the average player quality is going to start dropping noticeably in instanced content. Maybe other players have already noticed it.
Let's just say that some of us have seen evidence amongst a certain undefined subset of people who could use all of the time they can get, to get better with their class.
Which has nothing to do with skipping the MSQ.
You'd had me if they were skipping with the job potions but
as Rhysati said, it doesn't take long to figure things on most jobs.
Some players are simply just...bad.
Just proves how bad the Shadowbringers story was.
I only worry if it’s a main…
While this is true it misses the point.
FFXIV is an RPG with added group content. People who skip the entire point of this game tend to have a weaker attachment to staying around…
The jobs in this game are really intuitive, I am not concerned at all, while there is often someone that simply refuses to get better for one reason or another, I assume most players will try to learn how to properly play their jobs. After all, someone that buys a story skip definitely isn't just going to buy houses, go to +18 RP places and glamour hunt, chances are they are raidloggers.
With the sheer amount of expansions (time) it takes to get to endgame, it can really fatigue some new players. However, a lot of this is actually probably people buying skips for their alts. If I cared to play my alt, I'd probably just buy a skip at this point too.

FFXIV story is pretty long winded, tons and tons of chat scenes I wouldn't want to go through that if I had tons of alts.
People Giving FFXIV Money is Concerning?
NONSENSE
But yeah, as some people said....its probably because of ALTS.
I wouldn't tell anybody to force themselves through another how many days/game hours to get an ALT caught up.
Yeah, well I prefer playing games over watching cutscenes and eating popcorn. I hated the expansion personally.
