Meteion attacked the planet with her 'song of oblivion' and as a result said 'song' rang out from the planet itself.

It seems pretty obvious that the sound was a result of Meteion's actions, I at least can't say I ever got the impression the two things were unrelated.

Dynamis is an invisible, intangible, uninteractable energy. Meteion's flood of Dynamis was clearly not heard on it's way from space, else it would have been heard as coming from the sky. And we have no reason for why it would suddenly just become audible afterwards either. So even if Meteion caused whatever made the Sound to make it, it wasn't she herself that created it.

I wonder if the Scream from within the planet was simply a creation being corrupted and well, screaming. If i recall there was a scream heard within Rads-at-han as well.

We can't say that for sure. Maybe it's undetectable in the sky but reacts with the ground, or something.

It's possible that the Sound is caused by something else, but not impossible that Meteion's song caused it.

Yeah each time they turned into a Terminus Beast in the Areas it was coupled by a scream. Which after wards the skies went red and the meteor shower appeared.

It's possible that the Sound is caused by something else, but not impossible that Meteion's song caused it.

If I hit a cymbal it's the cymbal that makes the noise, not the stick that rushed towards it. There is no real reason to believe we should hear the sound from above rather than below.

Perhaps the "cry that issued forth from the earth" is the actual mystery we're supposed to be focusing on for the next storyline.

It could have a relation to the premonition I noticed in this thread; moreso because there is one thing that happened during the original Final Days that we did not see, which was the land itself turning on us. The desolation wrought by whatever is mentioned in the prophecy sounds weirdly similar, so perhaps another imbalance in the natural order remains to be corrected before Etheriys is truly safe, and perhaps that is what Azem was seeking to learn the truth of, viewing it as the bigger crisis then the Zodiark/Hydaelyn conflict.

The changes in the aetheric flows wrought by Zodiark may have had the side effect of quelling whatever this other potential entity may have been, but now that the flows have normalized and the Final Days returned briefly, its awakening as mentioned in the prophecy has resumed.

I'm going to assume the Sound being 'from the planet' is a misattribution from the Ancients having incomplete knowledge of what was actually going on; possibly written this way on purpose as a red herring, or backfilled because the writers didn't have Meteion fleshed out as the cause of the Sound when they did 5.0. This part of the story is clearly finished and it would feel way too cheap to have an '"Actually, there was a second sound" or "It wasn't Meteion, it was this" in a side-story like Pandaemonium.

If we wanted to get technical, and assuming dynamis does carry through space, we would probably be dealing with a "sound from the edge of the universe" for years after its source was cut off. It's best to deliberately not apply scientific logic to it.
