There's a lot of things to do in this game and not everyone is willing to literally waste 45-60 minutes EVERY DAY to do an alliance raidI agree, alliance raids must be fixed.i can understand, that people nowadays tend to focus on the rewards, since the newer games condition them to this, but I reall wish we would get all the raids more often and not only tower of boredom.
If people need incentives, fine by me, but I just want to play a game. Not grind or anything. I wanna do Roulette and have fun with whatever they throw at me, if we wipe some times, even better.
But if its always the same old slow tower, this gets old really fast.
People argue, that players die in Dun Scaith too often. Well tell me, how are they gonna learn all the mechanics, when all the time its just Crystal-Tower they get?
Seriously, whats so appealing about a perfect but boring run, just to increase some numbers at the end? What are you even playing the game for? Enlighten me, please.

Then why bother with alliance raids? They were made as long and difficult duties, like, thats what those are about? If there is other stuff to do, why not do that instead, then?
Edit:
I personally would rather spend 60 minutes in something interesting and difficult, than 10 minutes of something that is dull and boring. Thats my 2 cents and I know a handful that think so, too.

Oh rest assured that people are indeed going to do other activities instead of wasting up to an hour of their lives if SE decides to cull the ilvl cheese.
How many players run the MSQ roulette now compared to when you could skip the cutscenes? A lot less I would bet
Problem with that is some of the Alliance Raids are a minimum of 30 minutes and are rather dull and boring. Worst offender of this is Ridorana Lighthouse, you could take all the bosses there and cut their health by half and they'd still get to do all their mechanics with how long it takes for them to go down...

Ah, well thats a point I can get behind. Is that still the case after the number mumbo jumbo since Endwalker?Problem with that is some of the Alliance Raids are a minimum of 30 minutes and are rather dull and boring. Actually, it's more like "don't queue if you don't have the time to do the absolute longest possible content the roulette will give you". Any of the Endwalker trials are significantly longer than, for example, Ifrit. And as for MSQ roulette, Praetorium runs, on average, are roughly twice as long as Castrum Meridianum (also of note that it's not twice as good on reward). And it's not just due to difficulty, but they've gotten much more liberal in use of cutscenes or multiple phase transition fights.
Oh, and then you have to factor in how long you're waiting for a queue, which can also be a significant amount of time for some roles.

How do you know how much time you need when some of the alliance raids vary wildly? That's part of the reason people cheese to que for crystal tower, its consistent timing. HW alliance raids are much tougher especially when people don't get them often (Yes that is a problem) but they are also longer if they go smoothly anyways. If your planning your time would you rather something that takes 18-21 every time or something that ranges from 18-45+? I've been in some HW raids where we bashed our heads for about a hour. No-one left but if that was the norm I wouldn't que for alliance raids for the amount of xp they give.

When you go to the dentist or any other appointment, do you require them to tell you a range of how long it is going to take? No, you probably don't. You accept that it can vary and plan accordingly. The game is no different. Everyone else shouldn't have to fit their schedule around yours or vice versa. It isn't the end of the day if you miss a daily. I'm always of the mind that if you can't commit to the content, then you don't deserve the reward. How do you know how much time you need when some of the alliance raids vary wildly?
