I think people didn't noticed that that video is actually a playlist with 2 videos, the second one is ex trial 2 with no healers as well.

I was under the impression that ultimate was the hardest content in the game. Have I been living under a rock this whole time?
Even if this is true, it's still not a viable reason to be able to negate an entire role from the game. Also I want to point out that these first 2 ex are almost always embarrassingly easy. It took me half a lockout for ZEX to down after going in blind and HEX took a whole lockout. They shouldn't be balancing job around this content. That's what savage and ultimate is for.
Except it isn't? Dancers still out DPS healers even being the worst DPS.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
90% of a fights damage shouldn't be avoidable and if that's been an issue since ARR, that just makes it worse.
Healing damage is a healers role. It's their main reason to be there. That job shouldn't be negated as soon as the healer and their group become good at the fight. The healer is punished because their group played well. It's backwards.
Can you imagine if bosses could only take a set amount of damage every few minutes? When you're new to the fight and everyone is fumbling their rotation and dying it's just like normal. But when everyone's playing really well, the boss would hit damage cap after about 30 sec and go immune for the next 60 seconds until the next "phase". To fill this time you'd just get a single slow punch button that would do minor bonus damage. Then after spamming away on this for a while, you'd get to play your role again and crack out the full rotation for a little bit before going back into another minute of spamming slow punch.
That's healing.
I feel bad for the healers, most people give them too much of a hard time.
Figures. The second I decide that I actually like being a healer, they become obsolete. Story of my life!

Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional
According to Yoshi-P the game is designed for healers to heal, and all content should be able to be completed with healers doing 0 DPS.90% of a fights damage shouldn't be avoidable and if that's been an issue since ARR, that just makes it worse.

I wonder if they actually do play the game sometimes.
I mean this was a very coordinated group, far beyond that you usually find in PF. Its an outlier, and one that has happened xpac after xpac. I've not seen healers go anywhere.
