I played wow since it's release and if you think it has "non stop content" you're delusional and looking at wow with rose colored glasses..

You can farm for mounts with a 0.001% drop chance for years and not see it. That counts, right?

I think he shouldn't say that because this is an mmorpg. He should design this game in such a way that players will never get bored or take breaks in content droughts.

Noaki Yoshida in one interview told that if players are bored with the game or if they have completed all PVE content then they should take a break and come back in the next patch. Frankly speaking this is very damaging to the game and to square enix as a whole because its an mmorpg and players play mmorpg to commit long term. Look at the WoW director, Ion Hazzikotas. He never told players to take a single break from WoW. Infact he gives players new ideas on how to play WoW differently when they get bored or during a content drought but never once he said to take a break.

When I play an mmorpg I play it non stop for 10+ years without taking breaks and I am sure there are millions of players like me who think the same way. Majority of mmo players have no interest in single player games.

I mean, if this is the hill you want to die on, that's your call. But as I see it, you're new to the game/forums (Joined this very month).

FFXIV has always encouraged this kind of play and while it may not be what you personally want in an MMO, it is doing extremely well for itself. You're welcome to devote 10+ years or whatever, but you do not speak for "the majority of MMO players".

You are more than welcome to play this 10+ years, or WoW is waiting for you.

He might not want you to get burned out but he does want your money, so let's not pretend there's anything altruistic in this. It just make you seem like a fool.

You could just let the house go if it's that much stress. It's not like it's required for anything. If you know it's such a problem and cling to it anyway, then that's on you.
