In From the Cold was one of the best mmo quests I have ever seen (spoilers)

I loved it. Probably my most favorite part of the Expansion besides the last-solo instance. I can write a couple of paragraph on how great it is- that's how much I enjoyed it. They could adjust the instance a bit so the objectives could be more obvious but other then that- It's perfect.

It was a fantastic concept with seriously flawed execution. You have no idea where you are supposed to go or what you are supposed to do...not because you don't know what the end goal is, but because the quest area is cordoned off with a bunch of arbitrary invisible walls. From start to finish everything in that whole quest area is the same color which really sucks from a visibility standpoint.

Oddly enough I have no issues with the soldier's actual combat potency, this fits the tone of the quest perfectly...even though one of the supposedly best fighters in the known universe even at diminished strength should be able to do more than haphazardly swing a sword. At the end of the area when you are basically blown to bits and crawling out of the area, then suddenly you do this gladiator leap to block Zenos from killing your friends. You should be almost dead when you do this. Where was this sudden combat capability during the rest of the quest?

Finding the armor and having to backtrack to the fuel you had already found but weren't able to pick-up was annoying, then no longer being able to defend yourself while carrying the fuel back to the armor.

At one point I picked up a heal-over-time potion, which was far preferable to the single-use medpacs. They should have just made all the medpacs like those(each one simply refreshing the duration) and it would have been less annoying.

The quest wasn't "hard", it was tedious. There's a number of things they could have done to make it less tedious while still maintaining the tone and "difficulty" of the quest.

(On a side note, I'm generally not a fan of the quests that make you play as someone else with a handful of abilities that you can't even change the button assignments for)

I enjoyed it but almost failed the button mash. When the screen went black I set the controller down and picked up my coffee, figuring I messed up something big and expecting to see "mission failed" not the button LOL

Lol, nearly the same. I breathed out in relief when the screen cuts to black, and tabbed out to Discord to talk to someone. When I came back... crap, there was an ATM that I JUST missed! WTF?!

I loved that part too. Made me realize how powerful the wol is, compared to your average grunt. A nice change of pace from being unkillable.

I legitimately wanted to unsubscribe while I was doing it. Afterwards I had zero energy to continue playing. It wasn't even a difficulty thing. I was lost and annoyed. What am I supposed to do? Why would the moron who coded this not put map markers or arrows so you don't aimlessly wander? It's not even a fun wander. It's gray and black and white and boring. Not to mention the whole body jack plot amounted to jack shit. It was just disheartening and disjointed. Someone made an Evangelion joke about this mission and honestly I'm ready to become tang.

Sorry for the rant, but I wanted to vent after that bullcrap.
