    Just chiming in to add my experience: I placed my order on their website, and I tried to apply the code. It looked like it applied but was not reflected anywhere on the order itself or in any communication afterward. I never got an email for the emote. Not going to worry about it, but it's too bad this campaign had such bad technical issues.

    After the update from SE and Grubhub, I contacted Grubhub support and they said they would send it out within 48 hours. Around 24 hours later, I got my code, which I also confirmed worked. Glad to have this resolved, and hopefully there won't be trouble for others going forward.

    I still haven't gotten my code and i did the promotion the day after the VGA. I've contacted GH's customer service and they keep looking out for it and check my spams. This is so damn bad. I just want my damn emote that I earned. I paid over $15 on food for it, so where is my code?

    That's not how it works. Anyone could write a ToS but it doesn't stand in court if it's not within the legal framework and this is proven time after time. They could have changed the terms, yes... But they didn't in the duration of the event so they have I believe 2 weeks to resolve this after the event ended to not breach their side of the agreement. Once their side is breached, then they could be brought to court over this. It's just an emote but we all did have to pay a decent amount of money for this "Scam". They know better (hopefully) and will likely issue codes to anyone who asks at some point to avoid this outcome even if it costs them money for each code generation. I'm guessing because they would lose in court pretty easily if it came to it. I'm not a fan of court things and would rather they just send the codes out to everyone who ordered grubhub for the duration of that event and call it the day.

    This isn't the first promo like this SW has done, you'd think they could get it done w/o drama at some point! So do I keep waiting? Email my receipt to Grubhub? Email my receipt to Square Enix?

    Yeah same thing. On the website it took the code with a brief flash of a green check-mark but nowhere on my receipt did it say any code was applied. I'm hoping it just didn't show because it wasn't modifying my price in any way.

    Seems to be the most productive avenue has been hounding GH's customer service and escalating (ask for higher tier support) until you either get a refund or sent the code.
    If you did not receive your emote code, please reach out to the Grubhub CARE team and have your order number and email address associated with your Grubhub account ready.

    Note that this was what I got too.. however I ALSO put in an order through the app the next day because people were saying you had to do it through the app.. which ALSO did pretty much the same thing. It took the code, but had nothing on the receipt about it.

    However I got my emote pretty promptly on the 17th around when everyone else did. There's been nobody posting here about it automatically coming later, only people who've raised complaints and THEN gotten sent the code.

    Thanks for the link. I contacted them and was told that my order had the applied promo code and it should show up w/in the given 2 week window.
    Guess I can't get aggro until after the 2 weeks then. I saved the chat w/ Grubhub as extra proof in case I need it.

    No luck getting either

    Both my Fiancé and I made different orders and none of us got the code to work. At first we assumed we had to do it during the window of the game awards, but then we saw people that got it that, either applied the code before or after the event and it worked for them.

    I feel duped and scammed. Fiancé said he wanted a refund and while I still have hope, I honestly believe the best solution is that Square puts the emoticon on the store and never does anything with GrubHub. All the promotions involving them tend to go bad
